We got a look at all the teams participating in the 17U division, both in person and on film, and after conferring with Ryan Morgan (Prep Hoops Washington) and talking with various coaches and others saw the action at the Beaverton Hoop YMCA, here is our 17U All-Tournament Team.
First Team
Off the Dribble 2025 finished with a perfect 4-0 record at the Hustle Region Classic and Acosta was a big reason why. The unsigned 6-foot-3 senior was the team’s leading scorer – his 13.3 ppg ranked second in the entire division – and his 19 points led the team in their last win of the event. The lanky wing got his buckets in a number of creative ways, both hitting jump shots and getting to the hoop.
Highlights
The second member of our First Team All-Tournament squad also comes from the undefeated Off the Dribble 2025 squad in Tran, who impressed as one of the top shooters in the event. The 6-foot-2 wing was money from the perimeter both days, but in addition to his sweet shooting stroke he also showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and score off of the dribble.
Coached by former Oregon prep legend Elijah Gonzanez, Team P.A.C.E. Black finished the event with a 3-1 record and the team got a big boost from Leritz. The 5-foot-10 lead guard put up two individual games of 30 and 20 points, and at times was near unstoppable on his drives to the hoop, especially in transition.
Highlights
Hunter was a player who impressed us with his play on both ends of the floor for Team P.A.C.E. Black. On the offensive end, the 6-foot combo guard was fearless getting to the hoop and finishing through contact, and on the defensive end he was relentless with his motor, especially on-the-ball.
Epstein finished as the top scorer in 17U at 13.5 ppg, but the impression he made was with his all-around play. The 6-foot combo guard always brought full competitive effort to the floor and seemingly always made the right play, whether it knocking down the open shot or getting the ball to his teammates for scores. He was tough as nails on defense as well.
