Colt returns as a starter with a skill that fits directly into Great Crossing’s offensive plan: perimeter shooting. Coach Page describes him as one of the best shooters he has coached, a strong endorsement of the value he brings. With Brady commanding attention inside and LJ returning to direct the offense, Colt has an opportunity to benefit from the advantages those teammates create. His shooting also helps create those advantages. Defenders who remain attached to him have less freedom to crowd the paint, and opponents who help away from him risk giving up an open perimeter look. That makes him an important part of the Warhawks’ spacing, even on possessions when he does not take the shot.

It’s easy to overlook the third option at Great Crossing because LJ Holman LJ Holman 6'2" | PG Great Crossing | 2027 State KY and Brady Orem Brady Orem 6'8" | PF Great Crossing | 2028 State KY get the most attention but Colt has become a very good prospect in his own right. A stocky guard with a smooth jumper and a quick release, Delimpo could be the best midrange scorer in the 11th region and will have to replace the all around impact that Trevanti Cooper brought to the regional title team a year ago.

Great Crossing added impact transfers with Bray McNear, LJ Holman and Deante Wilson this summer but Delimpo is likely to make more of an impact than fellow Juniors Wilson and McNear. Colt is a deadly shooter who excels at getting to his spot in the midrange. He should provide some ball handling help to Holman and can be a true difference maker when opponents load up to stop Brady Orem.

Colt is starting to break out and see his stock trend up. Delimpo has primarily been a role player over the first two years of his high school career but he has had a break out summer for the Warhawks as well as on the AAU circuit with Kentucky Future. Colt is a high level shooter who is developing the rest of his game and growing more comfortable as a facilitator with the ball in his hands. Great Crossing has a loaded roster but Delimpo could be their X Factor when trying to make a run at another state title.

Delimpo can be overshadowed by LJ Holman and Brady Orem Brady Orem 6'8" | PF Great Crossing | 2028 State KY but he has really started to emerge this summer. Exceling as a shooter but starting to become more comfortable being a driver and playmaker, Colt has benefited from a little growth spurt and some time spent in the weight room.

Coming off a Sophomore year where he helped get Great Crossing back to Rupp Arena, Colt has started to show he is more than just a shooter. If Delimpo gets to play more of a point guard spot instead of off the ball, he could be in line for a big AAU season.

Colt was one of the best shooters at camp and has clearly started to get stronger heading into his Sophomore season. Delimpo has an opportunity to be a heavy rotation player for a Great Crossing team that needs scoring after losing a ton off the state title roster. Colt had a strong day on Saturday for sure.

Colt is known for his shooting ability and the Warhawks are going to need him to be ready to contribute offense this season if they hope to defend their back to back region championships.

Colt is known for his shooting already and as the day went on, his shots started falling repeatedly. Delimpo suffered through a bit of a slow start in the 3 on 3 games but by the end of the day, he was one of the better shooters in the camp.
