Gaso Next-Gen: Elite Combo Guards

Raw talent on display including some standout guards with amazing size that caught my eye. Prototype D1 guard frame, he is absolutely explosive going to the rim and gave me D-wade flashes. His footage posted online from Frisco Memorial this season is elite but he was 2x more impressive in person. He's also a good shooter, knocked down the 3 ball and a couple nice midrange shots. Quick up and down floor, he explodes off the dribble but most dangerous with his speed in transition. Made some nice defensive plays as well and overall a very underrated prospect in the 2026 class that will climb up the rankings after this summer. His size is off the charts and he's super aggressive offensively in the post and midrange area. One part I like about his game is that he seems to know his spots and stick to them giving him a consistent factor I didn't see from most kids. Ethan had a great season over at Denton High School but lining up with elite competition always shows a player true skills and mental toughness. He checks green in both of those area's. I lost count of how many dunks he had, he also filled the lane nice on defense with 10 rebounds plus and a couple blocks per game. He was paired with one of the top dime droppers in the class [player_tooltip player_id='2112009' first='Beckham' last='Black'] and they put on a show right from tip-off. Marri made everything look effortless catching oop after oop in transition. Most impressive was his bounce off the dribble he was able to handle the ball and finish big at the rim several times to the point where no one really wanted to defend him anymore. His footwork on the midrange was nice to, even the shots he didn't make. He had some big blocks on the defensive end too and really seems to be coming into his own as far as style and play. His transition from big man to combo guard is nearing completion and he will be a tough match up for teams on the circuit this summer. I first came across him during his middle school season where he showed to be one of the most elite 2028's in the state but the question still remained how he would fair against top competition. He looked elite and dominated the 2028 group. He's transition from post play to guard skills as he heads into freshman year and seems to already have a decent handle. He drove to the basket with force between and around defenders and finished through tough contact most kids would have complained about. Big time shot blocker and overall just has a aggressiveness and confidence you can't teach especially at such a young age. Look for Nehemiah to be a ELITE combo guard when nears the finish of his transition. He debatably had the best 2 way showing at the event. At 6'5 you usually don't see kids this active but he was everywhere, all the time. He can play the perimeter offensively driving the lane multiple times, knocking down shots, catching oops and exploding for dunks at the rim. Defensively he had some tough blocks sliding down to the protect the rim and playing much bigger then he is with his crazy bounce. Overall I have Alex graded pretty high and would consider him one of the top underrated prospects in the class especially with his elite size and athleticism.
