Not the prettiest slate of games with defense reigning supreme in the quarterfinal round, but these players grinded through their games and were some of the standout guards from the 3A action.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450575' first='Ishe' last='Kanhukamwe'] | Garfield

Pretty quiet in the first half but came out in the second on a mission. Bursted through some gaps and was able to spur some drive and dish action early on in the third. Led the team with 14 points on a paltry day from the field for the Bulldogs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450500' first='Jamari' last='Harris'] | Garfield

He's really stood out with his impact on the glass this tournament and pulled down five more against O'Dea. Also continues to show some nice shot creation in the midrange.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450985' first='Legend' last='Smiley'] | Garfield

Only made three shots on the day but two of them came in critical moments down the stretch. Smiley buried a 3 with just over a minute left to cut the lead to two, then drove the ball the length of the floor for a power finish at the rim to again cut the lead back to two points. Even though he struggled from the field, he found ways to get others involved with four assists and made some huge defensive plays, finishing the game with three blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2156617' first='B.J.' last='Shannon'] | O'Dea

Started the game with a fire in his belly, hitting the midrange shot then picking the pocket of an opposing guard. Came back to make another huge play in the final minutes to force another turnover, tipping the ball off the ballhandler's leg and out of bounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2021597' first='Levi' last='Orbino'] | O'Dea

There's a theme here with O'Dea guards - defense. Orbino's a quick, scrappy guard who played some nice perimeter defense, drawing a charge and getting up into guys outside. Also hit a 3 and some free throws, and made some nice feeds to the post.

Antone Araujo | O'Dea

Tough, tough defender and added some playmaking for the Irish in a defensive battle. Was efficient with his touches and ended with a huge six points and four assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450604' first='Eli' last='Williams'] | North Central

Nice game scoring the ball with finesse, strength, and some good outside shooting. He's a gamer who leads the way and has the skill to get teammates going as well as take over when they need a bucket. Finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1850299' first='Kaden' last='Powers'] | Rainier Beach

A rough game shooting the rock but again showed how else he can impact the game with some nice feeds inside off drives and the vision to push the ball ahead with long passes. Also hustled out to block a 3-point attempt, corralled the block and pushed it the other way where he earned a foul at the rim. He did clutch up and knock down some shots late in the game that kept the game in hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='2375353' first='Maceo' last='Rivers'] | Rainier Beach

Tough game shooting the ball for Rivers but his toughness in other areas and activity defensively were huge to keep the energy and momentum up for Beach. Got his hands on passes all game long, hustled his way to eight boards, and was able to set up teammates for four assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1451029' first='Nyale' last='Robinson'] | Rainier Beach

Really struggled from long-range early on but hit a couple of big 3s in the second half and then started getting good penetration that led to assists. Has great vision while attacking and anticipates the help defender well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450563' first='Jaxon' last='Dubiel'] | Mountlake Terrace

Tough game for Terrace but Dubiel still had a big impact with 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and several steals. He has a supreme ability to jump passes on the perimeter and immediately kick it into high gear to convert those turnovers into points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450491' first='Ryan' last='Lafferty'] | Mt. Spokane

Efficient, tactful scorer. Finished the game 12-of-13 from the field for 27 points. Added in six assists and five rebounds and completely spear-headed their attack with clinical finishing at the rim and was willing to work the ball around patiently for the right shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450997' first='Nalu' last='Vargas'] | Mt. Spokane

A ready shooter with a pure stroke from 3, hit a couple behind the arc but also made some quick, smart passes that led to open looks. Can read the floor pretty well and made a nice play at the hoop following up on a miss inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450622' first='Sam' last='Davidson'] | Mt. Spokane

Decently physical defender who played with good energy and made some smart plays but his biggest impact came from stretching the floor and hitting a couple of well-timed 3s. The Wildcats had a lot of success inside and the threat of Davidson outside kept help defenders from venturing too far away from him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1863249' first='Dash' last='Lamebull-Ingram'] | Eastside Catholic

Came off the bench for instant energy after [player_tooltip player_id='2116694' first='Trey' last='Collier'] forced some turnovers. Matched Collier's quickness and was able to take advantage of some aggressive defense to get blow-by's and lay it up at the rim. Hit three shots immediately after coming into the game and finished with six points and two assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2116694' first='Trey' last='Collier'] | Lincoln (Tacoma)

He didn't score any points but he's a guy who can challenge ballhandlers with fullcourt pressure and create a couple of turnovers that loom large in the overall picture of the game. He did just that against Eastside Catholic, jumping some dribbles, frustrating ballhandlers, and slowing down the point of attack.

[player_tooltip player_id='2368911' first='LaVhanta' last='Sandling-Green'] | Lincoln (Tacoma)

Did a great job getting to the middle and creating shot opportunities from there. Was able to get to the rim himself, take foul line jumpers, or find small passing windows to bigs by the hoop. Finished with 11 points and four assists.
