He’s as steady as any Freshman you’ll see running the point on varsity this season. He has handles, and vision to see all areas on the court, he handles ball pressure, makes the long pass up court. He keeps his dribble live and can go left or right on the initial drive, he’s a ball mover in half-court. He’ll get into the paint for jumpers, and floaters, he has a mid-range jumper, he plays off two feet.
Highlights
A good ball handling guard, he has vision probably a pass first point guard. He has a solid body he uses to protect his dribble and get into the paint handling contact. He’s good in transition pushing and looking to make the long pass up court. He does a good job of settling the offense in half-court sets. He has leverage to defend, and stay low on ball handlers.
Highlights
A shifty ball handler with good moves going to his left or right when he has the ball. He’ll get into the paint for jumpers and floaters, he’ll attack from various angle. If you don’t stop him he’ll go all the way in transition. He has good balance, he’ll slow down and run the offense up top, he plays well in a fast pace game. He can hit the shot off the dribble, mid-range or longer.
He has size and a versatile skill set that will only improve going forward. He’s shown himself to be a good ball handler with vision, and passing in transition. Working off ball using his dribble, he has the ability to attack the basket along the perimeter, or pull-up for a jumper, he’s a willing passer. We’ve seen him make cuts to the basket, finish inside. He works his way inside to get weak side offensive rebounds for put back points.
A quick point guard who was a starter for a good part of the season. He more than held his own running things up top for a good varsity team who made a deep run in the play-offs. He’s quick, fast pushing the ball up courts. He plays under control with a quick dribble to get separation on the drive into the paint for floaters or pulling up off the dribble for the short jumper. We’ve seen hit the 3 pointer. He’s got quickness on the defensive side of the ball.
