However, we saw impressive performances from players all across the board this week in conference play and rivalry games.. Read below for the top performers of the week from the public school ranks.
Eatman had two big games this week as Green Level maintained their undefeated record. He went for 22 points and 6 assists against Garner, and then 17 points and 6 rebounds against Holly Springs later in the week. Eatman is a refined guard who can do a little bit of eveyrthing as he plays on the wing for the Gators. He’s able to knock down the three ball with consistency, and can also defend on and off the ball well with quick feet and good defensive IQ. He should be a stockriser this upcoming rankings update.

McSweeney popped out of his short funk last week, going for 17 points and 8 boards against Enloe, then a 19 point 10 rebound double double against Leesville Road. He’s a really intriguing wing that has played really well as a slasher and playmaker, and shown flashes of becoming a capable three point shooter. He’s a name for D1 and D2 programs to pick up this summer with Scott Wood Elite as they hit the UA Rise circuit.
Freeman continues to enjoy an impressive junior season, going for 37 points in a big win over a tough Beddingfield team. He got to the line and went 12/12, as well as knocking down three 3 pointers. He’s a got a very refined game as he likes to play out of the mid-range, attack the basket looking for contact, and make plays for others when the defense tries to take him out of the game. He should continue to make waves across the state as a 2025 to get to know this spring and summer.
Highlights
Goods is really putting together a great senior campaign, and should be making D1 and D2 coaches see that he is the “goods”. He had 20 points and 19 rebounds, continuing his 13 game double double streak as he is more physical, taller, and more aggressive on the offensive and defensive glass. Also a capable finisher and ball handler in transition, also good at cleaning up dump offs and loose balls around the basket.
Highlights
Showers had a good week as Lincoln Charter went undefeated on the week, culminating with a 20 point performance in a big win over Mountain Island Charter. He also threw in 6 assists and knocked down a pair of three pointers. As a freshman, he is already developing good feel and ball skills, helping him get to his spots and knock down shots when he wants to. Also a good secondary playmaker who can make reads and plays with the ball in his hands.
