Expert Analysis
Jay Anderson | Prep Hoops Scout
Showers has been a consistent scoring presence in the Lincoln Charter attack as they look to make waves on the NCHSAA stage. He’s producing 14.6 points per game and has knocked down 13 3-pointers across eight games so far in his sophomore season. He came up big in their last victory with 18 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field including four made 3-pointers to make his presence felt. He’s a shifty, sharpshooting floor general to note in the 2027 class.

Showers put together some good games this year over at Lincoln Charter, shooting the ball with confidence and scoring just over 9 points per game at the varsity level. He’s shown he can help his teammates as well, making the right reads and averaging 2.3 APG even though he’s not the guy with the ball in his hands the most. He’ll need to hit a growth spurt as he’s listed at 5’8 on MaxPreps, but he can still make winning plays and be impactful for LC over the course of the next three years with the kind of skill he has.

Showers had a good week as Lincoln Charter went undefeated on the week, culminating with a 20 point performance in a big win over Mountain Island Charter. He also threw in 6 assists and knocked down a pair of three pointers. As a freshman, he is already developing good feel and ball skills, helping him get to his spots and knock down shots when he wants to. Also a good secondary playmaker who can make reads and plays with the ball in his hands.

Showers was quite the vocal leader in the backcourt for Team 5 as well. He worked well with the other guards on his squad on both ends of the floor and was impressive handling ball pressure despite his short stature. He showed he could knock down shots with range and make things happen as a distributor offensively. He’s a name out of Pine Lake Prep to track in NC’s 2027 class going forward.
