Jones was a grown man for Chi-Prep showing why he is one of the best prospects in the Illinois 2025 class. High-motor and relentless rebounder. He mauled all night on the offensive glass en route to 33 points and 14 rebounds. His second jump was outstanding especially going up against a 6'10” D1 center prospect who had him by several inches. Chi-Prep's best play was miss a shot and Jones go get it! Also seals well on the block and showed some patience on a couple moves inside including a nice right handed hook shot. Powerful through contact and can take it from the mid-post. Rim runs very well. Tough defender that can defend in space while also protecting the rim.

After the win Prep Hoops sat down with Jones to discuss what is working well for him this season.

“Being physical, grabbing boards, and attacking the rim. Trying to show coaches I have improved my jump shot and ball handling since the summer.”

How is it playing on the Grind Session which is different than traditional high school basketball?

“It is harder than playing regular school basketball. There are a lot of players with talent and height so you have to come out and play hard.”

Jones rattled off the offers that he currently holds.

“Arizona State, Eastern Illinois, Northern Illinois, Bryant.”

Seconds after we interviewed Jones Louisiana-Monroe extended him his fifth scholarship offer. Marquette is a school that Jones says is also showing interest, but hasn't offered quite yet.
