Ammar Maxwell Ammar Maxwell 6’3″ | SG Shady Spring | 2024 State WV is holding current offers from WV Tech, Glenville St and Concord. Maxwell has great size and length for a guard and should fit in nicely into any system. Maxwell being the featured scorer in Shady Spring’s offense this year, he could demand alot of college attention and may surprise a few folks with the level of interest.
Elijah Redfern Elijah Redfern 6’3″ | PG Woodrow Wilson | 2024 State WV holds a current offer from Bob Bolen’s Glenville St program. Redfern was one of Coach Bolen’s first targets after taking over the Pioneer program. Redfern has a senior campaign that will allow him to showcase his talent versus top level talent and possibly expand the offers list by several.
Quinton Burlenski Quinton Burlenski 6’2″ | SG Wheeling Central Catholic | 2024 State WV holds his lone offer from hometown Wheeling University. Burlenski is on several program radars including fellow MEC programs in WV. Burlenski is a player who has D2 level scoring ability and will help a program immediately upon arrival.

Jayallen Turner Jayallen Turner 6’5″ | SF Charleston Catholic | 2024 State WV currently boasting offers from D2 WV State, NAIA WV Tech and NCCAA Clinton College. Turner quickly gained interest from other high level D2’s and just recently inquiries from low level D1 according to WV BlueChips. Look for Turner to get several high level D2 offers as the season progresses with D1’s creeping in for a peek.
Zion Blevins Zion Blevins 6’7″ | PF Chapmanville | 2024 State WV is one of the quickest rising prospects in WV. Many schools kept tabs for a couple years and this past season proved enough to gain an offer from University of Pikeville (UPike), an NAIA based in Kentucky and close to home for Blevins. But as Zion’s skill and physical development became better known throughout the summer, he started gaining interest from at least one high level D2 in the MEC. Once coaches see him play this season, he’ll lock in several more offers as well.
Bryson Smith Bryson Smith 6’6″ | SF Huntington Prep | 2024 WV has offers from just about every level including D2 Salem U and Concord University as well as D3 Bethany, NAIA Kentucky Christian U and JuCo Potomac St.. Smith has a great selection of choices in basketball and education. His size and athleticism are hard to ignore and currently being at Moravian Prep with several D1 programs following them, Smith will get great opportunity to be evaluated at that level.
Desean Goode Desean Goode 6’8″ | PF Fork Union Military Academy | 2024 WV currently has offers from D2 UVA-Wise which is the first offer while at Fork Union Military Academy. Before enrolling in prep school Goode had D2 offers from Cal U. (PA) and Salem University. Most excitingly Goode has absolutely lit it up on the military prep circuit and sounds like caught the eye of at least one D1 program. No word on pending offers or contact, but this is something we’ll certainly keep tabs on.
