Jayallen Turner Jayallen Turner 6'5" | SF Charleston Catholic | 2024 State WV has had a senior season for the ages.  Leading his team back to defend their state title in WV’s AA division, Turner also enters the tournament as Charleston Catholic’s all time leading scorer which is remarkable at a school with a rich basketball tradition.  Turner is one of the state’s most relentless (possibly best in some opinions) defenders while a strong and downhill player on offense who finishes every play.  Turner has D2 offers but has had some interest from lower level D1’s and after next week his recruiting direction could go one of several different ways.  Stay tuned.

Jayallen Turner Jayallen Turner 6'5" | SF Charleston Catholic | 2024 State WV was huge for the BlueChips squad.  Voluntarily taking on opponents’ toughest player, Turner played fast and strong, just as he’s always shown.  Turner who showed quality mid-range shot making ability as well, put on display everything that makes him one of WV’s top 2024’s and a target of high level D2’s in-state and out.

Jayallen Turner Jayallen Turner 6'5" | SF Charleston Catholic | 2024 State WV is a 2024 6’4″ guard/wing from Charleston Catholic High School.  Turner is held in high regards amongst high level D2 coaches and has several coaches interested.  Known amongst many coaches as the state’s best defender, Turner will continue to impress while playing for the WV BlueChips squad during fall league.  His recruiting trail has led him to many campus visits in addition to current offers.

Jayallen Turner Jayallen Turner 6'5" | SF Charleston Catholic | 2024 State WV is solidified as the #2 guard/wing in WV for a couple reasons, he has to high ceiling that could allow him to see lower level D1 schools start to give serious consideration.  Secondly, Turner is labeled by many as the state’s best defender.  Standing at 6’4″ Turner clamps down on defenders whether on ball or not and has the physical traits of a college player already.  An athletic and strong finisher on the offensive end, Turner can fill it up when needed, but we think based on our opinions as well as many others, his defensive skills are what can propel him to the next level above his current D2 and NAIA offers from WVU Tech, WV St, Clinton College.

Turner is very effective on the floor for the Irish. He helped them to an opening round victory over South Harrison HS 46-30. Jayallen led the way with 18 points. Turner has a quick set of hands to be disruptive in the passing lanes.

Allen picked his spots to be productive today. Turner finished 10-12 from the free throw line in the opening round victory. He really plays bigger than his size and constantly brings good awareness to the floor for the Irish.
