One of the youngest players in the 2027 class nationally, Hill found his footing this weekend and made a nice impact around the rim. One of the elite shot blockers in high school basketball, Hill had some huge blocks at the rim against both bigs and guards. Hill also rolled to the rim strong and had some big time dunks when given space to explode vertically. I thought Hill didn’t shoot the ball very well this weekend on the perimeter and if he’s able to be a consistent floor spacer with his defensive upside, he could be a stretch five or play next to a center for Purdue and that could give them tremendous defensive upside.

The lone committed prospect in our top 10, Hill is going to be a Purdue Boilermaker, a program that has been recruiting him for years now. One of the youngest prospects in the 2027 class, Hill still has a ton of upside and already impacts the game as a shot blocker and floor spacer at a high level. Going to a program that’s done an unbelievable job with talented bigs, Hill is in a spot to develop and become one of the top bigs in the Big 10 as well as get an opportunity to play in the NBA. After winning the 16 U Peach Jam title, Indy Heat have had an up and down season at the 17 U level but they have the talent and depth to make a run in July.

Indiana’s #1 ranked prospect in the Class of 2027 dominated the paint as he normally does on Sunday for the Indiana Junior All-Stars. There were some issues on the boards overall, but Hill managed to pull down 7 rebounds while also blocking 3 shots and deterring/altering several more. He also scored 15 points in the game. The recent Purdue commit was excellent on both ends of the floor.

Hill announced his commitment to Purdue right before the live period began last weekend. The 6’10” center, known as one of the top shot blockers in the country, continues to patrol the paint for Indy Heat 17u. He is averaging 2.3 blocks per game in EYBL play this spring while continuing to improve as a rebounder and show off his offensive upside. It is easy to see why the Pike High School product is ranked as a four-star, Top 25 prospect nationally.
