The bloodlines don’t lie for the class of 2027 stars as Ryan’s older brother Rj Hampton was a consensus five-star prospect and first round NBA draft selection. Hampton has locked in official visits to NC State, Nebraska, SMU and Ole Miss according to League Ready and completed his NC State visit at the start of March. Playing alongside Spears Jr for Drive Nation, the duo are one of the most dynamic pairs in the country to watch during the summer and have grown alongside each other by developing some impressive pick and roll chemistry.

Hampton is a polished perimeter scorer with the frame to play above smaller guards. He is comfortable spotting up beyond the arc and has shown composure creating shots from mid-range. At 6’6”, he can elevate over contests and use his length to guard across the wing. His growth as a secondary facilitator will raise his ceiling further.

At 6’6”, Hampton brings ideal length and scoring tools for a modern shooting guard. He has shown consistency in generating offense from the wing, with a smooth stroke off the catch and flashes of creation in space. His size allows him to shoot over contests and also defend multiple backcourt spots. Hampton’s growth as a decision-maker will be key, but his upside as a perimeter scorer is evident.

poured in 22 points to go along with 4 rebounds and 3 steals. What stood out most was his elevation and body control in tough scoring moments, whether it was a pull-up jumper off the bounce or an acrobatic finish in traffic. His length and touch made it difficult for defenders to alter his shot, even when they were in position. He was poised, confident, and consistently delivered when his team needed a bucket.

. He scored from all levels of the floor, as well as being an intimidating presence on defense and leading the transition on fastbreak attempts. Hampton uses his size to score over the top of opponents on jump shots and in the paint, as well as drawing fouls at a good rate and he is a big-time physical defender on the perimeter and utilizes his long wingspan to play passing lanes well. His stock was already on the rise, but he increased it even more with his play from TABC in Duncanville.
