That said, he's also a skilled scorer who can attack off the dribble and finish through contact at a high level around the rim, as well as step out and shoot it. He needs to add some more consistency to his jumper, but it's enough of a weapon that it needs to be respected. He's an instinctive defender who understands how to rotate and is a good help defender. He has transferred from Davenport West to Bettendorf and figures to be an impactful player for the Bulldogs this season.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1759902"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Another Quad City area player who has transferred, Hodges has made the move from Muscatine to Davenport Assumption, where he'll provide the Knights with a dynamic athlete on the perimeter who can create off the dribble and play downhill. He's a good wing defender who moves his feet well and uses his length to impact the game on that end of the floor as well as on the glass. He averaged 12.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists as a sophomore with the Muskies.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1759900"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Jackson was good as a sophomore for the Knights, averaged 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.8 steals a game. He's a big guard at 6-3 who can create shots for himself and his teammates off the bounce. He shoots it better off the catch than the dribble at this point, which may benefit him with the addition of [player_tooltip player_id='1660062' first='Navon' last='Shabazz'] to the roster this season, potentially moving Jackson off the ball a bit more. He's a versatile defender with the size to guard bigger players and the quickness to defend on the perimeter.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1759910"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Schmeltzer may be a touch undersized for a traditional big man, but he is STRONG and he uses that strength and physicality to make an impact as a defender, rebounder, and interior scorer. He holds his ground well on the block, never giving up any space, and he really makes opposing players work hard to score against him in the paint. He rebounds well on both ends of the floor, making good, hard contact on his boxouts and corralling rebounds with his soft hands.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["1484416"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Washington didn't get any varsity run last year for the Bulldogs, but he's coming off a strong summer with the Barnstormers and he should be a role player this year for them. He's a capable shooter from deep but will need to add some more consistency to that part of his game. He's a better shooter at this time off the dribble than the catch. He's able to use his length to impact the game defensively as well.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_6_player":["1951733"],"_player_evaluations_6_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"Kerkhoff appeared in 20 games last season off the bench for the Bulldogs, providing them with some perimeter shooting. In total, 77% of his shot attempts last season came from behind the arc. He had a solid summer with the Barnstormers and should step into a bigger role this season. At 6-4, he can get his shot off and he moves well without the ball in his hands.","_player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_7_player":["1951757"],"_player_evaluations_7_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"Haack is probably due for a fairly significant jump up the rankings when they are updated in a few weeks. He's an intriguing young prospect with great size at 6-7, and mobility to throw with it. He runs the floor well and is a long rim protector who blocked nearly 4 shots a game as a sophomore for the Tigers. He's not a great shooter at this point in time, but the form on his shot looks fine and he's a fairly reliable free-throw shooter, so some range could be coming. He averaged 19.6 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.8 steals, and 3.9 blocks last season.","_player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_8_player":["1951734"],"_player_evaluations_8_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_8_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_8_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_8_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_8_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_8_evaluation":"A 6-4/6-5 power forward with soft hands and good footwork and touch around the rim, Wyrick is a good interior scorer with a bit of a throwback, back-to-the-basket game. He pounds the glass on both ends of the floor and is a mobile big who runs the floor and does a good job establishing early post position. He averaged 15.8 points and 7.6 rebounds as a sophomore for the Hawks.","_player_evaluations_8_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_9_player":["1288918"],"_player_evaluations_9_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_9_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_9_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_9_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_9_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_9_evaluation":"Hoskins didn't get any run on the Spartans' varsity team last season, but he figures to be a valuable role player as a junior.
