About Ryan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Ryan has “grown up in the gym” and has developed into an elite player who will add value day one – the moment he steps on a college campus. He can run a team at a high level, and is an absolute Winner. Ryan is a “three level scorer” and an absolute nightmare matchup for opponents. He plays with great energy; and is the kind of player that makes everyone better.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Ryan is a highly capable, very efficient 3-level scorer; very good with the ball in his hands, in ball screen actions, as well as off ball / on the move. And he is also an excellent defender, with an advanced understanding of angles and positioning; capable of guarding multiple spots; and he competes every possession. Ryan also has a real nose for the basketball and rebounds it exceptionally well

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I broke my femur in 6th grade and was back playing sports 3 months later. Through that injury, I learned that training/recovery/diet were things I could control to help get back on the field/court fastest

Rust has the potential to breakout this season with his ability to stretch the floor. The 6’2 guard has a clean release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Rust moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the half court. He is an underrated defender and finds his open teammates in the half court. Rust is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should torch the nets from distance this season.
