This week, we will be starting with the rising seniors. If you have a player who deserves to be recognized, please send @RossVDG14 on X (Formerly known as Twitter) a direct message.
Schwartz, a 6-7 combo forward is a pure presence on the interior as well as can knock down shots from the perimeter. His game has improved every year since his freshman season as he is becoming one of the viable three-level scoring threats in the North Florida area. On the offensive end, Schwartz finds a way to battle through contact and is able to score against bigger defenders at a high level. On the defensive end, Schwartz is versatile in multiple ways where he can often be seen guarding on the perimeter as well as on the interior using his length to battle for rebounds.
The 6-6 rising senior has taken strides into his game where he uses his strength and finishing effectively around the rim. He also has a smooth release from beyond the arc where he shot 44 percent from the field as a junior last season. On the defensive end, Morris plays with a ton of quickness where he can keep up when guarding out on the perimeter as well as have the length to guard on the interior. College coaches should start peaking interest soon as Morris heads into his senior season.
The 6-1 rising senior and recent UNC-Asheville commit plays with a lot of toughness and is quick on both ends of the floor. Every time he has the basketball he likes to push transition and is very good at making smart decisions out on the floor. Clarke is a dangerous three-level scorer who makes plays happen with his pure footwork. He shot over 40 percent from beyond the arc last season for Lake Highland Prep.
The 6-8 rising senior power forward is a standout on both ends of the floor as he plays with a bunch of physicality. Lue uses his strong body and can punish defenders with his ability to finish efficiently around the rim, as well as score off the catch. He also uses his athletic frame to battle the boards on both ends of the floor, and has a strong ability to finish put-backs. Lue holds offers from Arkansas State, California, Chattanooga, Georgia State and several others.
The 6-2 rising senior combo guard is as crafty as it gets whether he’s running the primary point guard or playing off the ball. Flynn is also one of the top perimeter shooters in the state of Georgia where he impressed me with eight 3-pointers in a game back in July at the Power 24 in Atlanta. Flynn can also get it done on the defensive end as well as his ability to jump the passing lanes has continued to improve. Flynn is committed to Wofford University.
The 6-4 rising senior combo guard has a well-rounded game as he can finish efficiently around the rim while absorbing contact. He looks to score every time he touches the basketball as he has a knack for scoring on all three levels. On the defensive side, Abernathy is considered to be an underrated rebounder for his size but has great length and athleticism where he can crash the boards with bigger players. Abernathy currently holds offers from Alabama-Huntsville, Lee University and Trevecca-Nazarene.
