Another Wave of SWFL Transfers

The school year is underway and fall leagues are taking place across the state, where teams are looking to get an early look at their rosters. SWFL just had another wave of transfers, so let's take a closer look at some more new faces in new places for the 2026-2027 season.    A dual-sport Athlete, Dobson, comes over to Riverdale after seeing varsity minutes as just and 8th grader last year at Gateway Charter. He is an elite athlete who affects the game in a number of ways both offensively and defensively. He is a tenacious defender who will never back down from an assignment and is an excellent rebounder from the guard position. Dobson is a 3-level scorer who thrives when attacking the basket with his lightning quick first step.     The rising senior, Howard, adds some serious depth to an already talented Lehigh squad. The 6'3" SF is super athletic, quick off the floor, and has excellent leaping ability, where he likes to play above the rim, and is a tremendous rebounder on both ends of the court. He is an exceptional defender, who has a great shot-blocking presence, but also gets his hands in the passing lanes and forces turnovers, turning defense into offense. Howard has great speed and really excels when he can get out and run in the transition game.     Williams is hard-nosed defender who loves a challenge and prides himself on that side of the ball. He is strong-bodied guard who has the ability to lock down an opponent down for the entire length of the court, and his quick feet and quick hands make him real pest defensively. Offensively, he handles the ball very well, and is a smart player with a real feel for the game. The 5'9" PG from LaBelle attacks the basket with no fear, but also has a very nice mid-range game, which he knocks down consistently.     Kirkby comes over to Estero after playing for 3 years at rival Bonita Springs. The 6'1" CG is a smart player who plays with great composure, and lets the game come to him. He is an unselfish prospect who plays with his head on a swivel and is always looking for the open man. He can score on all 3-levels, and when he gets hot can be deadly from behind the arc. Kirkby will bring some senior leadership to a talented Wildcats squad.     A sharpshooting guard, Bonilla, is another young incoming transfer for Riverdale who has already seen varsity minutes as just an 8th grader. The rising freshman has a tremendous basketball IQ and plays well beyond his years. He has great handles and sees the court very well, as he's always trying to get his teammates involved. The 5'9" CG has unlimited range, and a nice quick release, where he shoots it from behind the arc at a very high rate.
