Freshman/Sophomore ID Camp Floor Generals

This past Sunday a number of talented underclassmen took the court at Seminole Sports Academy for the Freshman/Sophomore ID Camp, and a number of players took advantage of the opportunity and really made a name for themselves heading into this season. Let's take a closer look at some of the prospects who played well with the ball in their hands, and were facilitators while they were on the court.    Brown was one of the younger standouts from the showcase, but the 5'8" PG plays well beyond his years. He plays with great confidence and awareness, and just lets the game come to him. He has an excellent basketball IQ, and plays the game fast yet under control. Brown always has his eyes up scanning the floor, and looking for the open man, and just has a great sense of the game. He has terrific handles and attacks the paint with no fear, and can also knock down the open jumper when needed.     Billingsley impressed throughout the day on Sunday, and just plays the game right. He plays with a cool and calm demeanor, and never seems to get flustered on the floor. He has excellent court vision and is always looking to get his teammates involved. Billingsley may be a past first PG, but has a nice smooth stroke from outside, and shoots the 3-ball at a very high rate. He is a great communicator on the court, and basically acts as a coach on the floor when he's out there.     The rising sophomore, Petit-Frere, is a tough, gritty defender, who won't back down from a challenge and prides himself on that side of the ball. The 5'8" PG is an excellent passer and is always looking to get his teammates involved. He is a crafty player with tremendous quickness, and plays the game fast yet under control. He moves well without the ball, and spaces himself well on the floor, creating space and opportunities for his teammates.     An all around impressive athlete, Fagan, played well with the ball in his hands, and did a little bit everything when he was on the floor. He has excellent handles and moves the ball well, where he always had his eyes up scanning the court. The 5'10 CG moves very well without the ball, and communicates with his teammates trying to free them up for an open shot. He was an exceptional defender, and a true team player each time he was on the court.     Weaver III had himself a nice showcase, where he played solid throughout the day, in both 3-3 and 5-5 play. The 5'10" guard had some amazing passes, and acted as a great facilitator each time he was on the floor. He is a quick and shifty guard with excellent handles who likes to play with the ball in his hands. The rising freshman has the ability to create his own shot, but thrives when attacking the paint and dishing to the open man.
