Few teams have challenged themselves on a nightly basis quite like Lutheran West has to prepare themselves for a potential playoff push. The Longhorns have played in a handful of showcase events and have performed well away from home this season. Their 2027 class is the leaders of the program with Kuszmaul and Aiden Monroe Aiden Monroe 6'5" | SF Lutheran West | 2027 State OH taking big jumps this season. Kuszmaul is one of the top shooters in northeast Ohio and has some big-time scoring outbursts this season. Kuszmaul won game MVP at the Danny Young Classic and should be a priority small college target due to his positional size and shooting ability.

Lutheran West has had a tough schedule so far but pulled out a tight win to start the day over a scrappy Rhodes squad. Kuszmaul is one of the elite shooters in northeast Ohio’s 2027 class and was making shots from all over the court on Sunday afternoon. Making quick moves to score the basketball, I liked that Kuszmaul made shots off the catch, a one dribble pull-up and a two dribble pull-up. Being able to be efficient with your dribbles is an essential skill for a shooter as at the college level there aren’t many pull-up jumpers with more than two dribbles attempted. With his positional size and shooting ability, Kuszmaul should see his name on some small college radars this summer.

Lutheran West was another high school program who brought multiple prospects to The Expo and those prospects had a good day impacting the game. Kuszmaul knocked down a handful of 3-pointers off the catch and has good positional size on the perimeter. Add in a couple mid-range shots and Kuszmaul was one of the leading scorers outside the paint at the entire showcase.
