A prospect who attended the Prep Hoops Sophomore Showcase a while back, Balcomb is a bouncy wing who has a lot of highlights of himself playing above the rim. With an impressive vertical and a high release point on his jumper, Balcomb can make shots over smaller defenders. After playing at GlenOak as an underclassman, Balcomb transferred to Louisville where he was a star player for the Leopards last season. Look for Balcomb to continue to pop up on highlight videos from around the Canton area and these should help him get onto some college radars.

Balcomb played with nice explosiveness with a strong body for a wing forward. Also knocking down a handful of perimeter shots off the catch, there’s multiple areas of the game where I’m intrigued with Balcomb. With this being my first time watching him, I’ll be curious to see how he looks either in a high school or grassroots game.
