I was so impressed with how Childers played on Tuesday night as he flat out competed offensively and had to take on the lead scoring role after Jacob Spurlock Jacob Spurlock Jacob Spurlock 6'4" | SG Boyd County | 2026 State KY was forced to leave the game in the first half with an ankle injury. Childers was getting the ball thrown to him in the post and using a variety of post moves to finish at the rim. With soft touch and the ability to either go up over his left shoulder or spin back and finish facing the basket, the undersized Ashland Blazer squad had no answer for him on the block. Even stretching out and knocking down a few jumpers as well on the short roll or pick and pop, Childers is one of the most skilled bigs in Kentucky’s 2025 class.
