The prospects in the building all had their minds set on showing just why they work so hard on their game. Each game had highlight worthy plays, and players looking to prove their team was worthy of a Championship Title. Although there can only be one champion, there was no shortage of intensity throughout the entire weekend in each division. This event is jam packed with known and soon to be known talent from all parts of Wisconsin. Here is my “Midwest Showdown” Wing Stock Risers.
Jack Bookter Jack Bookter 5'11" | SG De Pere | 2026 WI – WI Blizzard
Bookter is a high IQ player at the combo guard. He was very effective using his length and handle to get to the basket and finisher over smaller guards. He made his impact directing traffic but he was also very impressive off the ball and attacking off the catch. Bookter had a solid weekend and led the way for the Wisconsin Blizzard.
Jay Johnson Jay Johnson 6'4" | SF Stoughton | 2025 State WI – WI Academy
Johnson was an offensive threat for Wisconsin Academy. The bouncy guard found his way to the paint and had an array of ways to finish at the basket. Johnson also poured in baskets from range and proved to be a reliable shooter from the corner there. Most impressive was his shot selection when looking to attack all three levels of the floor.
Markel Webb – ABC Lions
Webb had patience and poise when handling the ball for ABC Lions, the even keeled guard picked his spots well and scored within many different actions. More impressive was his scoring ability in the post by utilizing his pivots and pump fakes at a high level. Most impressive was his ability to stay cool and close out games in the clutch.
Max Chan – All Wisconsin
Chan had a great showing over the weekend for All Wisconsin. His quick first step crafty ball skills were on full display at the combo guard position. He has a soft touch from the mid range and the ability to attack the basket when defenders over-commit to the shot. The sound scorer was a reliable floor spacer on and off the ball.
Justice Tomaszewski – ABC Lions
The ABC Lions wing had a balanced attack with his methodical play. He was a reliable floor spacer and secondary facilitator which made for fluid offense. He was able to catch fire from the corner three when his team needed it. Tomaszewski’s Impact carried over to the defensive end as well, tallying blocks and steals.
