JJ Lowery
JJ Lowery
Lowery grabbed my attention at The Stage on Saturday. He was creative and shifty with the ball in his hands featuring a pretty up and under move. Lowery made hustle plays like a deflection that stopped a fast break.
Desmond Okantey
Desmond Okantey
Okantey did a lot of little things really well. Those little things made him a big influence on the game. Okantey established position early and picked up some solid looks at the rim on put backs. He showed patience and poise on the offensive end as well.
Hudson Sheppherd
Hudson Sheppherd
Sheppherd definitely grabbed my attention at The Stage. I like his ability to use his first step and physicality to drive straight line. Sheppherd also showed the ability to distribute with a pin point bounce pass.
Albert Gooden III
Albert Gooden III
Gooden III was a terrific all around athlete with straight line speed and ease of movement. He played defense the entire length of the floor and thrived in an attacking role that let him get aggressive on both ends.
Miller proved to be a tough 2 way player. He was able to force the hand of the offense and turn defense into offense for Wisconsin Academy. I liked Miller’s versatility on the perimeter as he looked perfectly comfortable playing on or off the ball.
Carter Johnson
Carter Johnson
Johnson played a very disciplined high IQ game. His decision making and passing down the floor was terrific. Johnson showed a lot of the key ingredients of a really good lead guard. He also had a pretty jumper and excellent shot selection.
Charlie Chan
Charlie Chan
Chan was tough to stop in the paint when I saw him play at The Stage. He was able to get behind the defense and play over top of the defense. Chan showed strong hands catching post feeds and earned good looks at the rim.
Hayden Broadwell
Hayden Broadwell
Broadwell made an impression in Indianapolis last weekend. I liked his well rounded offensive game that featured a jumper with 3 point range, a shot fake and go as well as turning defense into transition buckets.
Cooper Wright
Cooper Wright
Wright really looked like a multifaceted lead guard at The Stage. He showed that he could score the ball in a variety of ways like off a pretty turnaround mid range jumper. It was Wright’s passing that really set him apart though. He was able to hit cutters while on the move and even see open teammates while in the air.
O’Connor is a player that’s seeing a ton of growth in his game this spring and it really showed on Sunday. He looked like he was comfortable with the speed of the game on the perimeter and he started to groove his jumper as well.
Highlights
The 11th player on this list is the man without a name. I didn’t have a roster for his Full Package team and just missed him after the game. Either way, I have to mention #24 on Full Package. He was active around the rim and showed some nice touch on the ball.
