For me, the first team had to have a consistency in play and then production across the tournament. Each game making an impact, trying to take a lot of areas into consideration. With the second team, I opened up the grading book a little more. Maybe the individual played well across the board just not as high as the others. Or maybe I felt that that a player gave us something special that others at the tournament did not.
First Team:
Neil Summers Neil Summers 6'8" | PF Laramie | 2025 #221 Nation WY | 6’8″ | C | Laramie, WY | Team Daum 2025
This WY prospect picked up his first collegiate offer just prior to the event from Westminster out of Utah. He must have been riding the wave of confidence that, that could have given an athlete, because he just worked and produced. During the 4-0 record that his team had, he was a powerhouse in and around the paint. The prospect had plus grades on interior footwork, rebounding, and his passing skills. It made, at least this selection, the only true easy one when choosing an all-tournament team. As mentioned, in a previous article his play reminds me a bit of Gus Walden’s who will play at Wisconsin next year. Within his home state he was chosen as an All-State First Teamer so He has a great foundation to his high school career. His production at this event made it was easy to see why. He was dominant with the post moves or the put backs from the rebounding. Expect big things to come as he continues to hone his skill.
Ty Yoder Ty Yoder 5'10" | PG Resurrection Christian | 2025 State CO | 5’10” | G | Res Christian HS, CO | Team Daum 2025
I was able to watch 2 full games and parts of his other two performances. Let me assure anyone who might not know it yet: This one is fun to watch play. In one game I believe I counted 5 threes and maybe more in another game. Those big shots can come in bunches, which just take the air out of the opponent. Yoder is one of the better shooters that you will find. More than that I just liked his approach to playing. He also did well in other areas of the game, such as, he’s a leader on the floor, plays well with his teammates, and seems to be in correct spots on the floor. There might have been bigger one game performances during the weekend, but Yoder was a dog every time I saw him. From start to finish he makes an impact.
Nathan Baack | 6’4″ | W | Colorado Anarchy
Baack has a ton of upside and with that I believe he has a shot to be really good. In fact, in my opinion, his potential is up to him. If he works hard, the accolades will come. A 6’4″ shooter that just seemed to hit big shot after big shot. He is a player that grows on you each time you watch him. Moving forward to reach his potential he needs to improve athleticism and you do that by adding strength & the correct pounds. Additionally, if he grows 2-3 inches, he would be a solid stretch four. If he doesn’t grow, he needs that strength, then the handles need to be tighter. But did I mention he can shoot? With the best of them in this tournament. In the Sunday game the kid hits 7 3s and ends with 27points.
Andrew Apiagyei | 5’9” | G | Delasale MN | Real Phenom
Smaller guard that was real active and seemed to be everywhere. He produced in every game, looking confident driving and finishing or shooting on the parameter. He was his team’s main scorer. I believe he was that in part because he was the most active and ran the floor well. Production on the floor is important and each game that I caught he did it. With Apiagyei I found myself wanting to go to the next tournament in an effort to see more.
Christian Williams Christian Williams 6'2" | PG Chaparral | 2027 State CO | 6’1″ | G | 2027 | College Bound
This is a very young player that was playing up on a 16u team and playing very well. Appeared to be his team’s leading scorer each game. It was his mid range game that stood out and then floater after floater. He was aggressive with his drives and then passing to his teammates. Running the floor well was something that jumped out where he was always around the ball. I think that by the time he is in the middle of his high school career he will be the coach on the floor for the school he is attending. This is a special player that we need to know his name and keep checking back in with to watch the progression.
There was so many good single game performances in the event. I held the other first team performers to the standard of consistency and production. If I stick to that measuring stick then I have to add Williams to the team regardless of age.
Second Team:
Javon Aldana | 6’5″ | W | Colorado Anarchy
Alec Roumph Alec Roumph 6'4" | SG Regis Jesuit | 2025 State CO | 6’5″ | W | New Mexico D1
Parker Henderson | 6’9″ | C | New Mexico D1
Noah Eckels Noah Eckels 6'10" | C Discovery Canyon | 2025 State CO | 6’9″ | W | 7070 Athletics
J’twane Mike | 6’0″ | G | 7070 Athletics
