Recruiting Report: Bryce Hamilton (2018)
Bryce Hamilton (Pasadena,CA./Pasadena) had his all-around game flowing at the 31st Annual Fairfax Summer Classic. If you live out in Southern California or have a pulse on the basketball scene in this area, the name Hamilton should spark interest to even the common fan.
The youngest of the Hamilton family tree and a couple of branches away from his cousins Jordan (Texas/NBA D-League), Isaac (UCLA), and Daniel (UCONN/NBA D-League), Bryce now embraces the recruiting process as he heads into July evaluation period.
“I have offers from Utah State, UNLV, Arizona State, Nevada, UTEP, UCSB, and Buffalo. I’ve already took an unofficial to UCSB and I will be visiting UNLV (6/29) and will be setting up a visit with Arizona State soon.”
Hamilton can impact the game in a variety of ways, but it’s his innate scoring ability from all three levels that gives opponents fits. He can snatch a rebound (elevates well above the rim) and has the ball skills to either finish at the other end weaving through defenders or snap a skip pass to the opposite corner to an open teammate.
“Since the regular season ended, I’ve been honing my skills in the areas of shooting, ball handling, and getting others involved, as well as hitting the weights to finish through contact at a more efficient clip.”
As the June evaluation period comes to a close, Hamilton will focus his attention to the July evaluation period and his Belmont Shore teammates as he strives to attract not only the coaches that have offered, but also the staffs of other universities that have reached out to him letting him know that they’ll we’ll be monitoring his progress throughout July.
“There are a number of other programs that have not yet offered, but have shown interest including: UCLA, USC, LSU, Utah, Ohio State, and Washington State.”
As of right now that Hamilton tree looks to be far from finished as Bryce is well on his way to a blossoming future on the hardwood.
