Jamier Rice Jamier Rice 5’11” | CG Northern Durham | 2025 State NC had himself quite the busy sophomore season in the Northern Durham High backcourt at the lead guard role. He finished 2022-23 as quite the shifty guard that can finish in traffic and get to his spots off the bounce. He’s an athletic guard with nice length and good instincts off the bounce. As he improves on his shooting ability and shows he can make plays for others, look for his recruitment to gain some traction in the 2025 class.
Osvaldo Haynes II Osvaldo Haynes II 6’8″ | PF Providence Day | 2025 State NC is due for a strong spring/summer after contributing in the Providence Day School frontcourt in 2022-23. He’s a versatile forward at 6-foot-6 that can operate inside and out with his size/frame. He’ll be a useful addition in the Team Curry frontcourt with his ability to make things happen in the paint and on the perimeter. As he improves on his ability to defend multiple roles, look for his stock to rise in the state’s 2025 class.
Highlights
Chance Gladden Chance Gladden 6’4″ | CG Ravenscroft | 2025 State NC is an emerging guard to keep an eye on at Cary Academy after putting up impressive numbers to lead their backcourt. He put up 19.9 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 3.9 apg and 2.2 spg to show off his ability to do a little bit of everything for the Chargers in 2022-23, despite the results. He’s a confident young scoring guard with potential in the class given his ability to make an impact as a combo guard. He’ll be a name to watch with Team Trezz this grassroots season.
Highlights
EJ Sutton EJ Sutton 6’8″ | PF Northeastern | 2025 State NC is a prospect that’s worked his way off the watch list and into the rankings despite playing sparingly on the varsity stage in 2022-23 with Northeastern High. He’s got some breakout potential with Wave Basketball Club on the grassroots scene after he showed flashes of his potential in the Eagles frontcourt with Tyell Saunders Tyell Saunders 6’2″ | CG Northeastern | 2025 State NC leading the way.
Ty Sanders Ty Sanders 6’3″ | SG North Lincoln | 2025 State NC is a name to keep an eye on over at North Lincoln High alongside Kellen Karr Kellen Karr 6’5″ | SF North Lincoln | 2025 State NC . He finished as a top three scorer on the season with 12.2 ppg along with 4.0 apg, 2.9 rpg and 1.1 spg on the wing for the Knights as they made a deep run in the state playoffs. He knocked down 45 3-pointers as a sophomore but something to improve upon is his efficiency from behind the arc. He shot just 29 percent from 3-point land this past season but look for that to improve as he plays with NC Spartans on the grassroots stage.
Highlights
Naz Session Naz Session 6’2″ | CG Hoggard | 2025 State NC is a prospect that’s come a long way in a short time in the Hoggard High rotation in 2022-23. He’s a long, wiry combo guard at 6-foot-2 with a nose for the ball defensively and on the rebounding front. He’s set to turn a corner this spring/summer with WBC Elite as he shows off his ability to make things happen in space. Defensively, he’s capable of guarding 1-3 and in some instances, the 4-man depending on matchups. He’s a name to get to know in NC’s 2025 class.
