We’ve written about Haynes previously and he has simply maintained + elevated his level of production combined with his ability to impact winning as Providence Day is two wins away from a State Championship. Haynes is such a strong presence on the inside offensively, using his size and instincts to finish around the rim with efficiency along with providing a ton of work on the offensive glass. Haynes has such a willingness to do whatever is asked of him to get the job done due to his natural competitiveness. Haynes brings so much effort each and every night and is just an asset to any roster he’s on. Providence Day will be hosting Carmel Christian in a cross-town matchup that should provide a lot of excitement in the 704. Haynes will be looking to hold his own in the paint and beyond as he can add to his legacy at Providence Day with more big performances on this playoff run.

Haynes has a chance to be a really high quality late addition to a scholarship program because he’s a really strong interior finisher and multi-positional defender. Providence Day is enjoying another winning season sitting at 14-5 at the time of writing and Haynes is a major part of the success. Haynes is a really high level offensive rebounder, it’s arguably his best skill on the floor. He simply has a nose for the ball, great anticipation, and really knows how to use his physical gifts to carve out space on that end of the floor. He’s got the handle and footwork to expose slower bigs off the bounce and he’s simply too big/strong for normal wings to guard him. Expect Haynes to help lead Providence Day on a deep NCISAA playoff run and him to get some real uptick in his recruitment soon.

Haynes is another power forward prospect who likes to play above the rim on both ends of the floor, though he’s shown he can step on the perimeter and knock down shots as well. He’s fresh off an NCISAA 4A Final Four appearance in the NCISAA State Playoffs and ready to really show DI and DII programs what he can do. He’ll be a prospect set to break out on the adidas stage with Upward Stars 3SSB this spring/summer as he gets to showcase what he can do.

He’s shown he can be quite the presence in the pick-and-roll game and given his length, he’s a tough matchup for opposing defenders, especially around the rim. Haynes is someone who’s really come on strong as a high energy forward this spring with E.A Prep Stars, showing an improved versatility in his game on the offensive end especially. He continues to play with the high energy he always brings defensively and on the glass, which has been his calling card. However offensively he’s been able to step out and shoot a three a bit this spring, make plays that don’t just consist of finishing a simple layup and overall advancing his game on that side of the ball. With his natural frame and skill level already, he’s a definite college prospect for a team needing a big frontcourt body.

Haynes is a forward prospect getting hot at the right time for his EA Prep Stars group. His motor is impressive, as he’s always looking to get involved in the play that is unfolding whether it’s in transition, on the glass, or in the half court. His ability to get on the boards on both ends is important as he uses his size and strength to make his presence felt. Good touch around the basket and in the post, making him a difficult defensive matchup because of both his ability to score it as well as having the ability to understand when to kick it out and keep playing.

Haynes is a smooth forward that is really going to be able to show what he can do at Providence Day this year, after a summer where he impressed all across the region, especially at the NCAA Basketball Academy. He’s got a high motor and a willingness to do whatever it takes on both ends, playing with poise and IQ constantly. On offense he’s comfortable handling the ball and driving perimeter to post, making plays on his own. He still effectively plays within a team system though, getting post touches and knowing how to use them. Defensively he plays hard, rebounds well, and can get up to protect the rim. Keep an eye on him during the upcoming season.
