2018 Rankings Breakdown: Underrated & Under Recruited
As the breakdowns for the conclude, we aim to highlight those who we believe have been overlooked to a certain extent.
Below, we run down some under-the-radar players that will likely be included in the next rankings update:
BRENNAN RALPH | 6’3 G | ANNAPOLIS | UNRANKED
Ralph is a terrific shooter, and a high IQ player overall. He knows where to be off the ball, and uses shot fakes, and ball fakes effectively. Ralph is tough, and will not hesitate go in and rebound or fight for 50/50 balls.
AMIR WARRICK | 6’3 G | PALLOTTI/6TH MAN WARRIORS | UNRANKED
Warrick is a talented scoring guard with good size and athleticism. Not only can he shoot it well from deep, but he isn’t afraid to mix it up and go inside and finish among bigger players. Warrick fills the lanes correctly in transition, and finished well with either hand.
LESHOUN TAYLOR | 6’1 G | BISHOP MCNAMARA | UNRANKED
There may only be a handful of players in the class with more raw athleticism than Taylor. We were impressed with his decision making, confidence, and leadership with the Mustangs at Maryland Team Camp. Taylor will be one of few seniors on the team this year for Coach Keithlein, and he appears ready to step up.
BOBBY MILLER | 6’5 G | PAINT BRANCH | UNRANKED
Miller is a player we missed in the rankings update, but we can assure you that he won’t be forgotten next time around. The 6’5 lefty is athletic, tough, and a good leader.
MALIK MCKINNEY | 6’1 G | INDIAN CREEK | UNRANKED
McKinney is another player who’s gone under-the-radar, but can really go. He a fearless paint getter, and a lockdown defender. McKinney can shoot it from the perimeter, but is also very good at mixing it up and scoring from the middle areas of the floor.
ALEX SANSON | 6’0 G | WHITMAN | UNRANKED

Sanson led Whitman in scoring as a junior, and has helped his team to a good start in the Maryland Elite Summer League. He is an outstanding three point shooter, and converts a high percentage of his foul shot attempts. With his team losing ten seniors, Sanson is expected to put up even bigger numbers as a senior.
