With the local high school basketball season over, it's time to start announcing postseason awards. Over the course of the week, Adam Ayalew and I will be publishing All-Maryland/DC teams for the all four classes. We move to the junior class and specifically, the selections for second team

[player_tooltip player_id='2231726' first='Josiah' last='Brown'] - Edmondson-Westside

Brown is a productive 6'4” wing who has helped lead his team to back-to-back state titles. A hidden gem from Baltimore, he is locked onto our radar moving forward.

David Dorsey - Frederick

Dorsey is a 6'6 wing who helped fuel a strong 26-1 Cadets squad this season. His ability to score inside/out, rebound at a high rate and guard multiple positions made him an extremely valuable asset and will be one to monitor with his development this spring and summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1280947' first='Tyonne' last='Farrell'] - Mount St. Joseph

Farrell had a breakout season forming one of the most dominant frontcourts in the DMV next to [player_tooltip player_id='957018' first='Amani' last='Hansberry']. His motor and activity blended with his size, power and intensity made for a double-double threat each time he stepped on the floor. Farrell also showcased his polished game away from the basket by converting more shots from three off the catch and operating in the mid-range area off of 2-to-3 dribbles.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579098' first='Josiah' last='Legree'] - Parkville

Legree is a high IQ guard who split time on and off the ball this season for the Knights. He was brilliant in the third quarter of the Class 4A title game against Meade where he was the catalyst for their comeback win by scoring 13 of his 22 points and did so in a variety of ways. He's a capable scorer from all three levels, has advanced vision and is an above average rebounder for his size and position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579096' first='Logan' last='Suber'] - Mt. Zion

Suber is a ultra quick lead guard who brings back the old school floor general feel. He understands how to set the table for those around him, but can also expose scoring opportunities that come his way. He's a tenacious on-ball defender who is always the cause of deflections or turnovers due to his pressure. Suber was a key cog in Mt. Zion Prep Academy's run to the MPSC and Maryland Private School State championships.
