MVP: Kobe Plata Kobe Plata 5'10" | PG Southern Wake Academy | 2027 State NC , 5’10 Guard, Cats of Westlake
Plata averaged 25.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 4.5 apg and 4.5 spg while showing off his ability to be a two-way presence on the floor. He was efficient shooting the ball at 47.1 percent on the day to lead his squad while also showing his prowess on the defensive end. His steal on the final possession to seal the game in the championship was pivotal in a 60-59 victory over the Trojans in what was a back-and-forth battle. He’s an intriguing guard that doesn’t overdo it with the 3-ball and looks to constantly get easy buckets around the rim. He also went 17-of-27 (63 percent) from the free throw line across two contests.
Allen Davis II Allen Davis II 5'10" | SG Garner | 2027 State NC , 5’9 Guard, Trojans
Davis was another one of the efficient guards on the day at OneDayBump 5 this past Saturday as he showed off his ability to score at volume with the ball in his hands. He put up 27.0 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 4.0 apg and 2.5 spg while shooting an efficient 77.1 percent from the field across two games en route to the championship game. They came up a bit short at the end, but it wasn’t due to anything he didn’t do. He showed he could fly around for rebounds out the net and instantly push the pace with his speed and prowess to make things happen in the paint. He went 8-for-11 from the free-throw line and 1-for-2 from the 3-point line across two games as well.
Keyshawn Herring Keyshawn Herring 6'2" | CG Kinston | 2027 State NC , 6’2 Guard, Vikings Elite
Herring was by far the most impressive athlete on display for Vikings Elite out of Kinston. He got out of the gates a bit slow in their first game, but in their second game, he was firing on all cylinders as he finished with 34 points, 11 rebounds and four assists in their victory over the Wildcats. He showed off his ability to finish at the rim and push the pace with the ball in his hands while averaging 25.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg and 2.5 apg on 50 percent shooting from the field. When he’s dialed in, he’s fearless with the ball in his hands and is a name to keep an eye on in the 2028 class.
DJ West DJ West 6'2" | SG Trinity Academy Raleigh | 2027 State NC , 6’1 Guard, Wildcats
West was impressive in averaging 32.0 ppg and 3.5 spg at the off-guard spot for the Wildcats. He showed off his ability to shoot the 3-ball across two games, knocking down 12-of-37 (32.4%) of his shots from deep to lead his Wildcats squad. He led all scorers on the day as well with a total of 64 points with performances of 28 and 34 points while showing off his ability to score at volume across two contests. He also accumulated seven steals on the defensive end, showing he isn’t afraid to get his nose dirty on the defensive end. He’s one to keep an eye on in the 2027 class.
Jamarion Washington Jamarion Washington 6'1" | CG Kinston | 2027 NC , 6’0 Guard, Vikings Elite
Washington was another impressive face out of the Vikings Elite backcourt. He produced 15.5 ppg and 4.5 rpg opposite of his counterpart, Keyshawn Herring Keyshawn Herring 6'2" | CG Kinston | 2027 State NC , in the rotation. He was a tough finisher around the paint and showed he could operate off the bounce when given his opportunities. Given his strong frame and fearlessness, he’s one to keep an eye on in NC’s 2027 class.
Tyler Hodges Tyler Hodges 6'1" | SG Willow Springs | 2027 NC , 6’1 Forward, Cats of Westlake
Hodges was impressive in the Cats of Westlake frontcourt and it showed in his production on the glass. He finished with 16.0 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 1.0 spg as the Cats of Westlake showed that they could play with Kobe Plata Kobe Plata 5'10" | PG Southern Wake Academy | 2027 State NC leading the way on offense. He cleaned up on the glass and was in a tie for first with 8 offensive rebounds across two games for his squad. He plays a tough, physical brand of basketball on the interior that’s much needed with them.
Don Jackson Don Jackson 6'2" | SF NC , 6’2 Forward, Trojans
Jackson was another impressive prospect on the interior to keep an eye on with the Trojans of North Garner. He led the way for defensive rebounds with a total of 11 across two contests and also showed off his range, knocking down a 3-pointer while averaging 16.5 ppg on 47.8 % shooting from the floor. He’s a sizeable prospect with some athleticism in his wheelhouse that’s just scratching the surface of what he can do,
Cairo Williams Cairo Williams 6'2" | CG Millbrook | 2027 NC , 6’2 Forward/Wing, Wildcats
Williams is the final name on the OneDayBump 5 All-Tournament squad to get to know from the Wildcats. He finished with 16.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 3.5 spg and 2.5 apg while showing off his versatility with his squad. He showed off his length on the boards and showed he could finish around the rim when given opportunities. He’s an underrated athlete as well that showed he could defend multiple positions and handled the ball a bit as well.
