In the final edition of the "Big Hoss" POTW this season, we have a ton of new names popping up and breaking out. There were some truly gutsy performances as the season wound down and these guys saved the best for last as their teams head into the postseason. Here are the nominees for "Big Hoss" in week 10.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450563' first='Jaxon' last='Dubiel'] | Mountlake Terrace - 29 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals vs Cascade 2/2

The Mountlake Terrace guard is a high-energy player who has had a breakout junior season, leading the Hawks to the number one spot in the Wesco 3A. He's always played with some reckless abandon and does a great job beating players out onto the break and finishing through contact. He just has a nose for the ball and was able to have a monster game even after sitting most of the first quarter on senior night.

Derek Nordale | Mercer Island - 28 points, 8 3PM (School Record) vs Juanita 2/4

Mercer Island puts a balanced five out on the floor but on Saturday night it was Nordale who stood out with a school record eight 3-pointers made in the opening round of the KingCo 3A tournament. He came out hot, hitting three of four from deep in the opening quarter. He seemed to get into a flow once the first couple fell and continued to shoot the lights out as the night went on, leading the Islanders to the victory.

[player_tooltip player_id='1270716' first='Giovanny' last='Evanson'] | King's Way - 40 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 steals vs Seton Catholic 1/31

Evanson looks completely confident in his game. He plays in rhythm and clearly put in the work in the off-season, which allows him to play rather than think. He plays quick, smooth, and lets the game come to him, and was in complete control against Seton showing off his long-range ability while also playmaking on defense and setting up teammates with some silky passes. His game is humming right now and he has King's Way a cut above the rest in the Trico heading into the postseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1416319' first='Sylas' last='Williams'] | Jackson - 42 points, 13 rebounds @ Lake Stevens 1/31

Again! Sylas just keeps on keeping on, this time hitting a season-high 42 points. He chips in double digit rebounds yet again, in fact, he's only failed reached at least ten rebounds twice this season. He continues to have mix in the shots beyond the arc, sinking four 3-pointers in his latest scoring outburst and has Jackson atop the Wesco 4A and in prime position to make a run back to the state tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450578' first='Eli' last='Trichler'] | Sultan - 40 points vs Granite Falls 1/31

Trichler was lights out against Granite Falls, scoring 30 of his 40 points in the first half. He didn't waste any time getting started, going three-for-three from distance and finishing the first quarter with 16 points. He's a guy that plays so smooth and calculated that he hardly looks to break a sweat from afar, but he attacks with a plethora of moves and is a complete offensive threat.

[player_tooltip player_id='1365931' first='Emmett' last='Fenz'] | Ellensburg - 43 points (School Record) @ East Valley 1/28

Fenz had himself a historic night, scoring a school-record 43 points against East Valley. He's a big, strong forward who seamlessly strings together moves with great footwork that makes him a threat to score facing up or with his back to the basket. He found success getting inside in the first half and used that strong frame to make some tough finishes, but Fenz is also a sharpshooter who utilizes the jab and is excellent pulling up for the jumper after a quick dribble or two.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450957' first='Braeden' last='Salme'] | Adna - 17 points, 13 assists, 11 rebounds @ Raymond 2/4

Salme recorded his first triple-double of the season against Raymond, nearly doubling his previous season-high in assists with 13. He plays with a good mix of pace and patience, forcing the defense to be ready for some downhill play but willing to take what presents itself. He can be a solid three-level scorer when he is on but either way, creates a lot of action off the bounce which likely helped him draw defenders and find open teammates against the Seagulls.

"Big Hoss" Performance of the Week

Makai Bloomfield | Mariner - 47 points vs Lake Stevens 2/2

Mariner has been on a roll to end the regular season, going 8-2 in their last ten games and a big reason why is this guy here. Bloomfield constantly has to match up with taller players but if anything, it's helped him become an even better finisher at the rim. He's a strong player that is deadly scoring off the bounce and has shown before he can score in bunches, notching 16 points in a quarter against Jackson earlier in the year. His jumper is consistent and the form is money, he could be a guy that leads Mariner on a run in the district 1/2 tournament, and until then, is Week 10's "Big Hoss."

In the final edition of the "Big Hoss" POTW this season, we have a ton of new names popping up and breaking out. There were some truly gutsy performances as the season wound down and these guys saved the best for last as their teams head into the postseason. Here are the nominees for "Big Hoss" in week 10.
