2026 Watch List: Impact Point Guards

His steady play has helped result in a <a href="https://prephoops.com/maryland/team-rankings/">top-10 ranking</a> for the Lions. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1782592' first='Kam' last='Carter'] | Spalding</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Carter keeps the ball on a string and is a reliable playmaker for the Cavs. He is quick, gets paint touches, and competes defensively. Carter has had multiple games with over 5 assists.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1782600' first='DJ' last='Hill'] | Maret</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hill is another promising lead guard to watch in the MAC. His calling card is defense. At 6-foot-2, he's a big point guard who does a bit of everything well. Shackelford has been a factor during the Titans' current 19-game win streak.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1782663' first='Devin' last='Toatley'] | St. John's</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Upon arrival on Military Road, Toatley quickly carved out a spot in the Cadets' guard rotation. He's a skilled creator who is a threat to shoot the 3 off the ball but is certainly a threat while in possession. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1782670' first='Ube' last='Zaid'] | Landon</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>From an early stage, Zaid hinted that he might establish himself as a key guy for Hajj Turner.
