2020 Watch List: Top Ten Point Guard Prospects
Prospect rankings for the class of 2020 will not premier until after the grassroots season. However, in order to put things into perspective, we’re naming the Top Ten at each position for now.
The following (Top Ten) 2020 point guards are in alphabetical order.
Matt Allocco, 6’2”, Hilliard Bradley / All Ohio Red EYBL
Allocco could blossom into the best of the bunch. He’s a coach on the floor while being extremely talented at scoring, defending, and passing.
6'1 @jagsbballnation / @all_ohio PG @matt_allocco (2020) sensing it, has taken some scoring into his hands. Shooting well off the dribble

The amount & value of @matt_allocco's (2020) communication is thru the roof. The @jagsbballnation / @all_ohio PG sounds like a future coach

CJ Anthony. 5’11”, Harvest Prep / C2K Elite
Anthony appears to be a calming presence on the floor, an important point guard attribute. Has shown the ability to come off-ball this spring, alongside Qian Magwood.
5'10 Harvest Prep/@C2KElite PG @cjanthony25 (2020) cannot miss right now. 3-3 since being over here on two triples and a tough reverse layup

Garvin Clarke, 6’, Euclid / Rebels
As of right now, there’s not a more productive player in Ohio’s 2020 class, regardless of position. Averaged close to 21 points this past weekend at the EYBL, when subbing with the NEO Shooting Stars 15u in Atlanta.
Look man, Garvin Clarke is too much. He's hit two deeep ones in the first while doing his normal ambidextrous finishes. Looks easy for him.

Montorie Foster, 6’, Lakewood St. Edward / Ohio Basketball Club
In a game against All Ohio Red EYBL in Fort Wayne, Foster proved himself amongst one of the best in Ohio. He took on the challenge of guarding Dominiq Penn, and definitely carried his weight. Foster has a nice balance of intelligence and athleticism.
Don't 😴 on St Ed / OBC PG @MontorieF_Jr (2020). Kid competes extremely hard. Crashes glass. Cuts off the ball. Strong finisher.

Joey Holifield, 6’, Cardinal Stritch / All Ohio Red EYBL and Jordan Jackson, 6’2”, Lorain / Hardwork
These two have nothing in common, besides that they’re the underrated guys in this article. We’ve witnessed first-hand these two having dominate performances against other players on this list.
Two big time FT for @all_ohio G @jholifield3030 (Cardinal Stritch) to cut it to 52-50. Strong athlete. Defends and finishes very well.
— Anthony Garcia (@nthonycgarcia) April 9, 2017
6'2 B.O.B./Lorain G @iHoop_3 (2020) is dominating this game. Defending rim with athleticism and getting all the way to the rack every time.
— Anthony Garcia (@nthonycgarcia) April 29, 2017
Zeb Jackson, 5’11”, Maumee Valley / C2K Elite 16u
Jackson is an extremely elusive scorer who can shoot the ball from over the yard. He has the ability to go for about 50 points on almost any given night.
2020 PG @iamzebjackson (@MVCDSVBB ) is playing in the 16u division with @C2KElite. Finds separation every time. VERY quick side to side.
— Anthony Garcia (@nthonycgarcia) May 6, 2017
Qian Magwood, 5’9”, Walnut Ridge / C2K Elite
Very talented ball-handler who carries himself with confidence on the court. Magwood routinely finishes from weird, difficult angles around the basket.
5'10 PG @Qianmagwood (2020) has the dribbling ability and quickness to get anywhere on the court. Creative finisher
@C2KElite / Walnut Ridge— Anthony Garcia (@nthonycgarcia) May 6, 2017
Cam McCreary, 6’1”, Colonel Crawford / Mid Ohio Pumas
McCreary is underrated in the sense that he’s probably the third best player on this list, behind Clarke and Allocco respectively. Extremely instinctive basketball player.
6' @MidOhioPumas PG @MccrearyCameron (2020) is rather exceptional on the dribble drive. Creates space in 2 dribbles and has strong awareness
— Anthony Garcia (@nthonycgarcia) May 6, 2017
Dominiq Penn, 6’, Dublin Coffman / All Ohio Red EYBL
Penn controls the game when he’s on the floor. Shoots the ball from way deep and creates separation by changing speeds.
2020 PG @dompenn_ has a killer hesitation move. Most of his points are at the basket or from the 3-pt line with his feet set.@all_ohio
