Prospects ranging from 2026 to even some 2028 guys in the building. Lot of prospects stood out in plenty of different ways but here is my Fantastic Five consisting of guys who I felt impacted the game the most.
Jaylin Hancock Jaylin Hancock 6'3" | SG Dallas Kimball | 2026 TX | Dallas Showtyme 2026 UA/Ferris HS (TX)
Hancock was one of the first prospects that caught my eye Saturday morning. 6’3, fairly long, athletic, and quick. Very aggressive slasher but an efficient one. Bouncy and creative finishes with the ability to go through or finish above his man. If he wasn’t finishing at the rim he was finding open teammates. He was phenomenal at getting paint touches and then facilitating to teammates on the perimeter. Stretched the floor with his deep ball, and with that opened up some pull up mid range opportunities, which he knocked down as well.
Omari Stallins | Oklahoma Icons Elite 2026/Putnam City Original (OK)
Stallins had one of the toughest performances I watched this weekend. The 5’9 guard had no problem scoring at the rim against taller defenders. He’s got great body control, knows when to elevate and finish above defenses, or can get to two feet and seal his defender on his backside and finish. Also had some very nice reverse layups and manipulation finishes as well. Made some great reads off pick and roll action and even found teammates for some skip pass buckets when they overhelped due to his slashing ability.
Joc Mitchell (2027) | TMT Boom City 2026/Union HS (OK)
Mitchell displayed some crazy athleticism on both ends of the floor this weekend in OKC. Standing at 6’1 he was all over the place defensively. Provided an abundance of on ball pressure and when he was second line on TMT’s press he was active in passing lanes and picking off plenty or passes. Off those steals he was able to finish the break at the rim for easy layups. His slashing ability out of the half court set was another piece of this young mans game I liked. Tight handle and could shift defenders off, through traffic, and finished above the defense or at times, get to two and finish through.
DJ Carter | JEB Elite 2026-1
Carter displayed how to be a floor general for his squad. The 5’9 guard is pass first guy with the ability to score. Plenty of times he would attack the paint, draw two and then look to kick to the open man. He can also get to the rim and finish some tough layups and knock down shots from beyond the arc. The thing I liked most about DJ’s game was how fundamentally sound he was defensively. Great closeouts, alert help side, kept his man in front, stayed in his stance, and always made sure to have a hand on or up on ball.
Gregory Nash (2027) | TMT Boom City/Union HS (OK)
Last but not least on this list is another TMT prospect playing up. Nash is a 5’8 guard that can knock it down from deep and heat up in a hurry. Quick catch and shoot and shoots it at a high percentage from deep. Quick off the bounce, gets paints touches, and can make plays in the lane. Very quick laterally on the defensive end. Nash is a guy that will pick you up 94 feet and will not budge. Very active hands at the top of his teams 2-2-1 press. Came away with some steals and forced plenty of pickups.
