Ryan had an excellent all around year as DeMatha’s floor general. He has committed to play for the Delaware and will join All DMV I-495 /55 3rd team player Bullis HS 6’5″ WG/WF Chyree Walker at Delaware. Ryan has an excellent mid range game and has developed a very good 3 point shot with very good elevation. Additionally, he is an excellent defender and facilitator. Ryan is a great teammate and we believe will thrive for the Blue Hens.
Darron Barnes, 6’6″, CF, Henry Wise HS, Upper Marlboro, MD, 2018.
Darron culminated a great career at Wise HS this season as the Pumas finished 21-1 and ranked #2 in The DMV. .
Saddiq Bey, 6’7″, WF/WG, Sidwell Friends HS, Washington, DC, 2018.
Saddiq had a breakout season for Sidwell Friends after having a great summer on the Grassroots circuit. He is a high riser who can get to the rim and his 3 point shot is almost there. We feel Saddiq has the potential to reach top 120 national status or higher. He has continued to play at a very high level for DC Premier 17 & U this spring and Notre Dame just offered as well as some other D1 schools. Saddiq scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Sidwell to the MAC Title game over Maret HS and a # 8 ranking in the DMV by the Washington Post with a record of 23-6.
Donald Carey, 6’5″, PG, Douglass HS, MD 2017.
Donald has just committed to Mt. St. Marys (MD) or the ” The Mount”of the NEC Conference and we feel this a great fit for him. Donald has fantastic pg skills at 6’5″ and is a proven facilitator who can run the break or hit a jumper from the perimeter. His defense and rebounding are very solid. We will have an updated Recruiting Report on Donald this week.

Myles Dread, 6’41/2″, SG, Gonzaga HS, Washington, DC, 2018.
Perhaps there is no the player in the DMV that sacrificed more to their teams than Myles Dread and Eddie Scott, both of Gonzaga HS in Washington, DC, who was ranked #8 in the nation by Max Preps. Myles could easily be be a 2o ppg game scorer on a another team, but after watching Myles play 14 plus times this season we have watched his game grow. He often guarded much bigger players ,some of whom were 6’11”, and Myles did a great job. He is very physical for his size, but still displayed great WG skills proving he can knock down the 3 ball and attack the rim or mid-range off the dribble, in addition to being an excellent passer. Myles is currently rated a top 215 recruit and he has committed to play for Penn State.

Anthony is another hidden gem in the DMV and he will play for Louisiana Tech next year and join former St. Frances Academy (Baltimore) PG DaQuan Bracey (Day Day) who had an excellent freshmen campaign for the Bulldogs. Anthony is much more than a highlight reel dunk machine and can play inside out developing a very good perimeter jumper. He can also rebound and defend and we think he will have a great career at L. Tech. He played in the Capital Classic this April for the Capital All Stars and was awarded as Best Inside Out Forward for out Ten Best game summary.
Matt Lewis, CG, 6’5″m Bishop O’Connell HS, Arlington, VA, 2017.
Matt was awarded 3rd team All Met by the Washington Post and he will play next season at James Madison University in Virginia. We were most impressed by Mathew’s fearless intensity and non stop motor. He would attack anyone at the rim or defend anyone at a high level. Matt has proven he can shoot the 3 ball as well as facilitate. Matt played for the District All Stars in the Capital Classic this past April and displayed his great wingspan.

Michael Speight, 6’3″, CG, Henry Wise HS, Upper Marlboro, MD, 2017/18.
Michael is an excellent D1 college prospect l and he is currently undecided, but he said last month he may prep. He was awarded 1st team All Met by the Washington Post and played for the Capital All Stars in the Capital Classic this past April. He is a powerful combo guard who thrives in the mid range, but can shoot the 3. As the prototype for Wise HS basketball players Michael has a very high basketball IQ, is very tough playing both sides of the ball and a winner. Like most of the payers on our 2nd team Michael is a 1st team talent.
