Damarii Wright Damarii Wright 6'6" | SF Severance | 2026 State CO is a lethal two-way forward who takes pride in his defensive abilities and effort. Wright bursts to the rim when he attacks the paint, and more likely than not, he ends up at the free-throw line to convert “and-one’s.” The 6’6 playmaker will continue to dominate at Severance in his final high school campaign.

Wright has taken a significant leap this summer, emerging as a true two-way threat. Offensively, he’s playing downhill with purpose consistently attacking the rim. Also creating scoring opportunities for himself and teammates, and finishing at all three levels. An aggressive mindset and feel for the game have made him a dynamic presence with the ball in his hands. On the defensive end, Wright’s athleticism and intensity stand out. He stays engaged on every possession, using quick feet and strong anticipation to contain ball handlers and contest shots effectively. His ability to impact the game on both ends makes him one of the more complete and competitive forwards on the floor

Wright continues to succeed in the region, bringing the athletic tools to be a two-way threat who can impact the game above the rim. Among the more productive shot blockers in the Pikes Peak League, his frame and proactive rotations make him a diverse defensive option. On the other end, while always a capable downhill scoring option of late, his three point shooting has begun to get more consistent off the catch. 

Wright has had quite the growth spurt in recent months, allowing him to be a much more athletic finisher around the basket. At his best while attacking downhill, he looks to blow by his opponent from early on acceleration one on one. Throwing down a few two-handed dunks to open up the season, Wright will be a name to follow over the coming years, particularly as his offensive game continues to extend behind the arc. 

Wright will be a name to know at Severance, bringing improvements as a downhill scorer at roughly 6’5. Capable finishing shot attempts through contact, the guard has most of his success inside the arc. Defensively, he will be able to compete against both backcourt positions, effective at locking down opponents one on one. The guard was among the most dependable rebounders with Team Daum this past club season, leveraging his frame and quickness to overpower opponents on the glass. 

Wright is set for a breakout season at Severance, boasting improvements in size and skill since last year. His abilities at roughly 6’5 are not easy to find, given the fluid handle, leveraging his scoring abilities within the arc. Capable of scoring through contact with either hand, many opponents have trouble slowing him down once in the paint. The guard follows averages of 5.3 points and 4 rebounds per game for 4A Severance. Wright is a completely different player than even six months ago, more comfortable within his frame.

Wright continues to display his streamlined game, continuing to grow into his 6’4 frame. Another lanky guard boasting a wide reach, he gets downhill with ease off the rip. Defensively, he has made strides as both a point of attack and help side defender. Adding strength since last year, he continues to show he can take bumps while retaining position. He continues to show value as a high motor two-way prospect, certainly worth keeping tabs on throughout June.
