John Elbe John Elbe John Elbe 6'5" | PF/SF University | 2026 State CO was the University’s catalyst despite the heartbreaking loss. Elbe is an unstoppable 6’5 forward who attacks the rim without regard for any defenders getting in his way. Chalking up 26 points on 10/13 from the field alongside 4 rebounds, it’s safe to say Elbe left it all on the court. This narrative has remained constant all season long, as Elbe has progressed his game immensely throughout his high school tenure. Despite his final season coming up just short of a ring, Elbe has nothing to be upset about, producing high-volume offense for a University squad that’s counted on him game in and game out for consistency.

Elbe delivered a dominant performance for University, finishing with 29 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists while controlling the game inside. He was a force down low and proved to be nearly impossible to match at the rim, using his size and strength to finish through contact and above defenders. Every time the game started to tighten, Elbe stepped up with a big play, whether it was a powerful dunk or a tough layup in traffic. His presence in the paint kept constant pressure on the defense and gave University a reliable scoring option when the moment got tense. His ability to take over inside made him the difference maker in the matchup sending his team to the championship

Elbe is that player every team loves to have anchoring the paint. Down low he’s a problem for anyone because he’s strong, composed and able to score through contact with a soft touch around the rim. Once he establishes position in the post his footwork and technique is sound which gets clean looks at the basket. What really sets him apart is the energy he brings on both ends but really stands out on the defensive side. He plays with a high motor, contesting everything, battling for every rebound and making life tough for anyone who tries to attack inside. That combination of toughness, scoring ability and nonstop effort is exactly why he’s earned his spot in the rankings. This season expect Elbe to take another leap forward as a true interior force and a tone setter for University

John Elbe John Elbe John Elbe 6'5" | PF/SF University | 2026 State CO is a key piece of the puzzle on University’s squad. Taking care of the glass and elevating the tempo in transition makes Elbe the perfect forward to have. Elbe thrives in the paint on both ends of the hardwood, utilizing his 6’5 frame to get wherever he wants. Look for Elbe to continue to dominate the game in a multitude of ways.

Elbe is an intriguing prospect that has so much upside and just tends to know where to be on the floor. He finds ways to score by his constant motion. He had a couple of rebounds go right to him, he worked inside, grabbed the board, and went straight up, and is always moving. When his team started to get sped up, he slowed it down for them and got them in their sets. He has great form on his shot, he uses his size on both ends of the floor, and stays shot-ready. Elbe is a player to watch this upcoming season that I feel has a solid year.

At 6’5, Elbe brings great size, toughness, and a high ceiling. He made waves this summer with his energy, physicality, and ability to finish through contact. Defensively, he’s relentless as he disrupts plays, rebounds, and forces turnovers. His two-way presence and motor stand out, and that’s exactly why we want him at the showcase to display his upside. I am sure that Elbe feels that he’s not getting the respect he deserves coming from a small school, well, prove it.

Elbe heads into the season riding the momentum of a summer where he turned heads with his high energy, physical style of play. Offensively, he thrives when attacking the rim, finishing through contact with power and confidence. His ability to absorb contact and still convert makes him a constant threat in the lane and a tough matchup for defenders. On the defensive end, Elbe has proven to be just as impactful. He’s a relentless on ball defender who takes pride in shutting down his assignment. Whether it’s a deflection, a big rebound, or forcing a turnover to swing momentum he does it all. His combination of toughness, hustle, and versatility allows him to impact the game in multiple ways. With his two way presence and relentless motor, Elbe is primed for a breakout season and could emerge as one of the most complete and dependable players on the floor for his team

Elbe had a terrific weekend and made his presence felt all over the court. He came out with a ton of energy and physicality, especially when driving to the basket. When getting to the rim, he was finishing strong through contact and showing off some serious power. On the defensive end, Elbe really stood out making big-time plays when his team needed them most. Whether it was a key stop, a deflection, or just locking down his man. He brought intensity on both ends and showed he can impact the game in more ways than one. Definitely a performance that turned some heads

Elbe was often in play for offensive rebounds, doing what he can with his wide reach to create second chance opportunities. The forward has made steady progress in his perimeter game, increasingly comfortable to initiate drives out from behind the arc.
