Markell Alston | G 6’1 Christ the King ’25
In true NY fashion, Alston won MVP of the game by using his creative handle to pressure the paint. He got to the line where he went 5 for 5. Markell scored 20 points total.
Kayden Mingo Kayden Mingo 6'1" | CG Long Island Lutheran | 2025 State #131 Nation NY | G 6’1 Long Island Lutheran ’25
Mingo put up 17 points as he helped his fellow 2025s win, then he popped off for 29 in the 2024 game. He got shifty with his handle throughout the day, getting to the rim 1-on-1. Kayden drained 4 threes for good measure too as he earned the 2024 NY team MVP.
Badara Diakite Badara Diakite 6'10" | C South Kent School | 2025 State #91 Nation New E | F/C 6’10 Northwest Catholic ’25
Diakite displayed agility and some handle attacking the basket from the perimeter. His rim protection was the difference in the game and allowed the NY 25s to pull away in the 2nd half. He finished with 16 points.
Milan Dean Milan Dean 6'3" | SF Archbishop Wood | 2025 State #286 Nation PA | G/W 6’3 Archbishop Wood ’25
“Mir” got team MVP by playing hard and making tough shots. He cashed in 3 treys and caused havoc off-ball on defense as part of his 15 points performance.
Devin Booker Devin Booker 6'5" | SF Cristo Rey Philadelphia | 2025 State #347 Nation PA W 6’5 Cristo Rey ’25
Book showed a feel for timing when to use his athleticism. Devin scored 14 points on cuts to the basket, putbacks and transition dunks.
KJ Cochran KJ Cochran 6'3" | CG Perkiomen | 2025 State #111 Nation PA | G/W 6’4 West Chester East ’25
Cochran had the most consistent game of anyone on the Philly ’25 team. On defense, he was great at the point of attack. Offensively, added 13 points getting into the paint and finishing around the rim.
Jaiden Glover Jaiden Glover 6'6" | SG Patrick School | 2024 State #57 Nation NJ | G/W 6’5 The Patrick School (NJ) ’24
Glover had a ton of flashes on Sunday. He looked good spacing the floor, knocking down three triples and slashing from the second-side. Jaiden also caught a couple bodies in transition, totaling 18 points.
Jalil Bethea Jalil Bethea 6'4" | SG Archbishop Wood | 2024 State #5 Nation PA | G 6’4 Archbishop Wood ‘24
Surrounded by some of the best players in the state and going against a really good NY team, Bethea won MVP by putting his whole bag on display. Jalil initiated offense for himself, getting to his spots for pull-up threes and at-rim finishes; made some beautiful passes, and played tough on-ball defense. The icing on top was the transition dunks as he totaled 25 points.
Robert Wright III Robert Wright III 6'0" | PG Montverde Academy (FL) | 2024 State #35 Nation FL | G 6’0 Neumann-Goretti ‘24
Rob’s start-stop ability with the ball in-hand mixed with his decision-making was tremendous. He created advantages with just 1 or 2 dribble moves, allowing him to get to his stepback, touch the paint to draw extra defenders, or get all the way to the cup for the lay. He led the team with 26 points and several assists.
Nelson Lamizana Nelson Lamizana 6'9" | PF West Chester Henderson | 2024 State PA | F 6’8 Bonner-Prendie ‘24
Lamizana was a pogo stick Sunday night. Almost all of his 16 points came on dunks. Nelson scored on duck-ins from the dunker spot, putbacks, and rim-runs. Then he would hustle back on defense to rebound and alter shots on the opposite end.
