Amari McCottry Amari McCottry 6'5" | SF St. Thomas More | 2024 State #304 Nation WI — St. Thomas More
McCottry is a prototypical college small forward who could develop into a real problem at the next level. The St. Thomas More star has all of the physical attributes necessary for a high-level player. He stands at 6-foot-6, is very strong, and can make some really athletic plays around the rim. This past AAU season, I was very impressed with McCottry as a slasher. When the SF makes his mind up and attacks the rim, defenders are in big trouble. As a junior, look out for McCottry to make a huge leap.
Stevie Clark Stevie Clark 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2024 State #322 Nation WI — Oshkosh North
Oshkosh North is poised to be one of the better squads in the state this season. The presence of Clark is a major reason why O-North is expected to compete for a gold ball this March. The small forward is one of the best slashers in the state. It doesn’t matter how many defenders are around the rim attempting to block his shot, Clark always seems to find a way to get the ball in the cup. While playing for Wisconsin Playground Club this past summer, Clark also proved himself as a shooter from both the midrange and from beyond the arc.
Sekou Konneh Sekou Konneh 6'6" | SF St. Thomas More | 2024 State WI — St. Thomas More
Out of all the small forwards in Wisconsin’s 2024 class, Konneh might have the highest upside. If the St. Thomas More product is able to put it all together, he is going to be a really, really big problem. The SF is very raw, but I have been impressed with some of the things he has done on the court. Konneh is a dangerous weapon in transition who can score at will. He also has all of the tools necessary to become an outstanding defender. Already holding a Division One scholarship offer from UW-Milwaukee, look for Konneh to add some more offers if he has a productive junior season.
Nolan Minessale Nolan Minessale 6'5" | SF Marquette | 2024 State WI — Marquette
Minessale exploded onto the scene this past AAU season. Playing for a great overall team in Chapman Basketball Academy, the small forward was super impressive. Standing at 6-foot-5, Minessale is a long, athletic prospect who is very active on both ends. The Marquette standout is no-doubt one of the bounciest prospects in the state. He was able to slam home some jaw-dropping dunks this spring and summer.
Keaton Frisch Keaton Frisch 6'7" | SF Waunakee | 2024 State WI — Waunakee
One of the biggest stock risers from this past AAU season was Waunakee’s Frisch. While playing for Wisconsin Playground Club, the small forward proved that he is a force to be reckoned with. And even though he possesses a lot of skill, Frisch is a prospect that still plays extremely hard. He always crashes the glass and attempts to snag boards. He isn’t afraid to sacrifice his body for the greater good of his squad.
Will Murray Will Murray 6'7" | SF Darlington | 2024 State WI — Darlington
Because he played with a Phenom U squad that was loaded with talent during the spring/summer evaluation period, Murray was forced to adopt the role of a “glue guy.” And this was a role that ended up fitting Murray perfectly. He did all of the little things that are necessary for winning at the highest level. He scrapped for rebounds, played physical defense, and was very unselfish.
