Isaiah Johnson Isaiah Johnson 6'7" | SF Totino-Grace | 2024 State #135 Nation MN — SF — Northstar Titans
Johnson is a future star who really impressed this weekend. He is long, athletic, and super skilled. When Johnson decides to put his head down and get to the rim, defenders are going to have a really difficult time slowing him down. He uses his athleticism to get downhill in a hurry and finish tough layups through contact. Going forward, Johnson is a player that college programs need to keep tabs on.
Dawson Bunke Dawson Bunke 6'5" | PF Rushford-Peterson | 2024 State MN — PF — Minnesota Select
I really liked how active Bunke was on both ends of the ball. It just seemed that no matter where he went of what he did, the power forward was making plays. On offense he showed that he was a major threat. He can convert on outside jumpers with ease and is very good around the rim. On defense he is a great shot-blocker and on ball defender. Bunke had a tremendous weekend and definitely caught the eye of observers.
Tayden Nave — SF — CYAL Rebels
Playing for a really fun to watch CYAL Rebels team, Nave was a big-time player. Standing at 6-foot-4 with a strong build, the small forward is a tremendous rebounder who seemed to snag every loose ball that went anywhere near him. He is also a talented finisher who is able to use his strength and physicality to make difficult layups. This was my first-time watching Nave play and it is safe to say that I was very impressed.
Collin Mulholland — PF — Minnesota Heat
Mulholland is a really tough prospect for opposing players to box out. The power forward does a really nice job of combining size and IQ to grab boards on both ends of the floor. It seems that Mulholland always knows where the ball is going and when to jump. He doesn’t just rebound, though. The big man also has a smooth stroke from deep.
Khalif Bettis Khalif Bettis 6'6" | SF Burnsville | 2023 State MN — SF — Minnesota Chill
Leading his team to the first place finish this past weekend, Bettis was incredible. He is simply an outstanding shot-maker who has clearly put in countless hours of work in the gym. Bettis can get a bucket from pretty much anywhere on the court. He has a deadly pull-up jumper and is also very effective from beyond the arc. Look for Bettis to start to get some well-deserved college attention.
Carson Schweim Carson Schweim 6'7" | SF Mankato East | 2024 State MN — SF — Minnesota Select
Schweim is a really dangerous scorer who has a pure jumper. When the small forward gets hot, the opposing team is going to be in trouble. The SF just makes everything look so effortless. In addition to being an elite scorer, Schweim is also a plus defender and passer. The Minnesota Select prospect really is the full package.
Sam Senske Sam Senske 6'5" | SG Hawley | 2023 State MN — SF — Next Level Basketball Academy
Senske is fundamentally sound in everything that he does. The small forward is never out of place and always ready to make a play. He is a smooth three level scorer who can get buckets in a hurry with ease. Senske has had a really productive spring AAU season. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if college programs start to show interest.
