Here we’ll take a look at some of the most exciting bucket getters from the Oklahoma State Tournament.
Garrett Loper | Shooting Guard | Oklahoma City, OK | RSE Elite 2025
Exciting scorer off the dribble with shifty and creative footwork. Garrett Loper showed off the quickness whenever he pushed the ball up the floor looking to rack up points in transition and displayed phenomenal techniques to step, hop, or euro his way through the lane and tight spaces on a play to play basis. Loper also excelled at getting a bucket whenever he was able to size his man up, showing excellent use of jab steps on the perimeter to feel his defensive man out. The best thing about Loper was the hunger, passion, and refuse to lose mentality he played with.
Mikah Hunt | Shooting Guard | Sherman, TX | Sparks Basketball Team 2025
Strong and stocky 6-foot-2 score-first guard who consistently displayed high-level shot creation skills. Sweet and nifty footwork on the drive, Hunt loves to use his deceptive long stride eurosteps before finishing the play off with a left or right finger roll. Mikah Hunt was at his best whenever he was coming downhill where he’s like a freight train coming at you.
Nnamdi Ubawike Nnamdi Ubawike 6'2" | PG Allen | 2025 State TX | Shooting Guard | Allen, TX | Southern Assault 2025
Super efficient shot creator with mean handles that could not be guarded by anyone effectively, anytime Nnamdi put the ball on the floor he was a threat to score wherever he pleased. Pure three-level bucket getter, good shot selections whether it was a pull-up in the mid-range, a catch and shoot three, or a hard-fought layup after taking his man off the bounce with his insanely smooth blow-by skills.
Kutter Houchin | Point Guard | Idalou,TX | Impact Sports 2025
Great fundamental ball-handler that didn’t turn it over, was able to get to any spot despite full-court pressure or traps, and he beat them all with simple right to left crossovers, behind the back dribbles, hesitations, and Kutter also pulled out his spin move each and every time players reached for the steal.
Cayden Hay | Point Guard | Bixby, OK | Tulsa Impact 2025
Cayden Hay shook defenders out of their shoes by combing his well-controlled and polished handles to go along with his fast pace which allowed him to slither in and out of the full-court press and easily touch the paint for a kick out or his go-to high arcing soft-touch floater. Hay seemed to be the fastest guard on any floor he stepped on, it was like a cheat code for him and he used it to get to the hole whenever he wanted to.
