Class 3A Oklahoma State All-Tournament team
The Class 3A State Tournament featured some very exciting moments throughout the weekend. Douglass captured the Gold Ball, but whats new? Douglass continues to dominate the Oklahoma high school basketball scene. Coryon Mason was special this weekend. Get who was the Most Valuable Player for the tournament and the All-Tournament team below.
MVP: Coryon Mason 2017 Douglass Point Guard
Mason dominated the weekend averaging 15 points per game. The dynamic senior guard did a great job of spreading the ball around. He is so tough to guard with his quickness and athleticism at the Point. He has really improved his ball handling skills over the past year. Mason is a legit Division II to JUCO level Point Guard that could impact programs as a freshman.
Latarryus Smith 2018 Star Spencer Point Guard
Smith is going to make a big jump in the 2018 Oklahoma rankings after his performance on the court this year. At state Smith continued his strong play this season scoring over 15 points per game. Smith is a player that JUCO and Division II programs need on their radar heading into next year.
Marquethz Lee 2017 Star Spencer Wing
Lee did everything he could to give Star Spencer the Gold Ball. In the end the Bobcats came up just a game short. Lee had a tournament to remember averaging over 15 points per game for the Bobcats. He will be tough to replace for Star Spencer next year.
Quinton Johnson 2017 Oklahoma Centennial Forward
Johnson had the best tournament of any player in all of Class 3A. He dropped 41 points in his final high school game against Douglass. It didn’t end up being enough to win, but Johnson dominated the game from start to finish. The recruitment of Johnson should take off as he stands at 6’5 on the Wing. Below are the highlights from Johnson’s huge game.
Jacob Germany 2019 Kingston Forward
Germany was dominant in the paint for Kingston. He stands at 6’10 in the post as one of the most under the radar players in the state. He scored 10 points and pulled in 16 rebounds in their opening round game. Germany has legit Division I potential if he can continue to develop. Germany also had 4 blocks. The size of Germany makes him a special player to keep an eye on.
