Although the Lyncs won by 13, it was a tight game most of the way and a big factor in holding off the Trojans was Wright’s work inside. The vast majority of his buckets came around the rim or from the foul line. He did step out to hit a couple of midrange shots but he was able to consistently get deep position and work through multiple defenders to have a big game in the paint. He stayed on balance, held onto the ball tight and powered up through the interior defense, drawing a ton of fouls throughout the game. Wright also did his part in transition, running the floor or setting up buckets on the break with quick outlets. The Lyncs punched their ticket to State with the win and now have a little more than a week to prepare for Yakima.

The Lyncs big man is a brute down low and on the glass who also shows some explosiveness in the frontcourt. He runs the floor well, defends the rim, and can stretch the floor enough to pull his man out and create space to get downhill to the hoop. He’s a big reason the Lyncs are in the discussion for another state title this season after taking home the 1A chip last year.

Jeremiah is extremely dominant on the court down in the paint. He sets amazing screens and rolls off of them perfectly, putting himself just in right spot. He can hit jump shots nicely when left open. He plays great defense, being able to guard multiple different positions on the court.

How do you think your team and yourself performed throughout this season?rn-Our team performed very well and we peaked at the right time of the season and we’re getting better the way.

What was the biggest obstacle you and your team faced this season?rn-The Anacortes loss was pretty humbling and reset us in our season. After that we were much better focused.

What do you think you improved most on the court?rn-I could most improve on my defense and not the blocking aspect but more guarding guys out on the perimeter I would say is my biggest witness.

What are you looking to improve before the next level?rn-We are looking to improve our relationships as teammates that’s what makes us so good we have been going to school together since kindergarten and good relationships with our coaches as well.

Who are some teammates that you think stood out this season? Who are some teammates who could have breakout years next year in your eyes?rn- Dawson Bouma Dawson Bouma 6'0" | SG Lynden Christian | 2024 State WA had a really good end to the season starting getting hot and was arguably one of the best defenders in our conference. I think Gannon Dykstra Gannon Dykstra 6'0" | PG Lynden Christian | 2025 State WA is gonna have a big role next. Kayden Stuit Kayden Stuit 6'4" | PF Lynden Christian | 2024 State WA is coming back so that’s a big pickup for some more size again down low.

Jeremiah is such a force in the paint. He is easily one of the strongest players in the NWC, making him extremely hard to guard. He is patient down low when he gets the ball and knows what spots he wants to get too. He improved his game quite a bit since last season, improving his jump shot a good amount. He was named the 1A state tournament MVP during the Lyncs title run this season.
