It’s an amazing achievement in my eyes as some of the top players aren’t able to reach this milestone. Here is a list of some of the athletes who have accomplished this and scored their 1,000th point this season.
Leyton Martin Leyton Martin 6'0" | PG Arlington | 2025 State WA – 2025 – Arlington HS – Martin is an elite 2 sport athlete and knows how to put the ball in the bucket. He’s a dynamic guard who can easily score at all 3 levels, having elite ball handling abilities and a smooth jumper. He’ll have his senior season to continue to add to his point total.
Jackson Pepper Jackson Pepper 6'3" | SG Selah | 2025 State WA – 2025 – Selah HS – Pepper is the main scoring option for his school now that his brother Levi is attending Central Washington. Jackson has stepped up in a big way, having many games dropping over 25/30 points. He hit the 1,000 point mark in their first district game of the year and will have his senior year next season to keep putting the ball in bucket.
Jeremiah Wright Jeremiah Wright 6'6" | PF Lynden Christian | 2024 State WA – 2024 – Lynden Christian HS – Wright has been a big part of this Lynden Christian program who has won back to back 1A state titles and are on the hunt for a 3rd straight. Jeremiah is a big who towers over most players in the NWC. He is stronger than most he matches up against so he uses his body/strength to get easy buckets down low. His outside jumper has improved this season as well.
Quinn Swanson Quinn Swanson 6'2" | SG Mount Vernon | 2024 State WA – 2024 – Mount Vernon HS – Quinn is such an elite scorer. He knows how to find his spots on the court and has creative ways to get to them. His deep shot is arguably the best in the entire NWC conference, having a quick release and being able to score from 4/5 feet beyond the three point line. He finishes through traffic in the paint well too, college coaches should be all over this 2024 guard.
Buddy Smeenk – 2024 – Sunnyside Christian HS – Here’s a small school player who achieved this fantastic milestone. Buddy is a guard/wing combo who plays with a ton of energy on the court. His mid-range jumper is smooth and his ball handling abilities lead to few turnovers by the senior.
Arion Palacol Arion Palacol 5'11" | PG Marysville Getchell | 2025 State WA – 2025 – Marysville Getchell HS – Bubba passed the 1,000 point mark back in late December and has been adding to his total ever since. He will also have next year to add to his total, maybe being able to hit the 1,500/1,600 point mark. He’s quick with the ball in his hands and has been working on moves off the dribble to create space, which has been paying off. His jumper is elite and he finishes through traffic at a high level.
Jaxon Dubiel Jaxon Dubiel 6'3" | CG Mountlake Terrace | 2024 State WA – 2024 – Mountlake Terrace HS – Jaxon is the 2nd player to hit the 1,000 point mark on this Mountlake Terrace team with Zaveon Jones Zaveon Jones 6'2" | SF Mountlake Terrace | 2024 State WA being the first earlier this season. Dubiel is a bucket getter. There is not many other ways to put it. He knows his strengths on the court and plays to them. Dubiel has a great outside shot and is so crafty when getting to the bucket and finishing around the rim. He is one of my favorite players to watch.
