His role this year will be an important one, as I mentioned they lost both their bigs from a year ago. He will step in and be able to fill one of those those voids. He’s also an improved player who has had a good off-season. He should hold down a starting role in the post this season.

and Cree Barna. However, in the minutes he did get, Brewer showed he can be a solid contributor and he could take a big step forward this season. He’s great at establishing and keeping position inside, whether that’s on the boards, posting up, or blocking off lanes for guards to drive. He defends the pick and roll well, runs the floor hard, and hits a good percentage at the free-throw line. I didn’t get to see much of his passing ability, but he could be an intriguing player to replace some of the minutes vacated by Caden Roth at the high post against zone defenses.

He should step up into a bigger role this season and might surprise some people with the improvements he’s made. He had a good off-season, he’s a capable scorer and rebounder, and can provide quality minutes for a very good team helping them to reach that next level.
