Domanic Martinez | 6’1 G | D1 New Mexico 2025
Martinez was one of the most complete guards I got to see this weekend. He’s got a great frame, very strong takes to the cup. He was able to convert through contact on multiple occasions and has some crazy finishes in his bag. Tremendous body control when going against a big and hit some clutch free throws. Had some real nice kick outs to teammates when defenders collapsed. Defensively moves very well and has great hands when it came to steals or deflections.
Sam Lopez | 5’7 G | Mid Mo Elite 2025
Lopez ran the floor so well in their Sunday morning game. He got a ton of transition layups and drew plenty of fouls with a couple of loud and-1s. He did not shy away from contact in traffic while driving to the dish. Very high motor, scrappy 2025 guard.
Caleb Williams (’26) | 5’8 G | South Arkansas Hoopsters 2025
Williams proved to be quite the scoring machine late in Hoopsters mid-day game and provided a bit of a spark. He was primarily a threat at the rim off the attack but connected on the threes as well. Watching how this kid competed you would’ve never guessed he was playing up. I look forward to seeing this kids game develop over the next few years being the threat he is now in only 8th grade.
Korbin Gunn | 5’10 G | NLU 2025
Gunn is another guard on NLU who is just an absolute nightmare on the defensive end. He was all over the place all weekend, and quite frankly it benefitted him and his team on the offensive end as they were running all over a few teams. Great on ball defender with active hands in passing lanes. Ran the floor well with and without the ball and hit teammates in transition.
JJ Ward | 6’4 G | Dallas Showtyme 2025 UA
Ward had one of the most mature games in the gym. A 6’4 guard with a lot of explosiveness and athleticism. Very consistent 3 level scorer who is a threat from just about anywhere on the floor, including an absolute hammer Sunday morning. This kid will give teams problems all summer long and for the next 3 years I’m sure as well.
