<p>The WVSSAC Tourney provided plenty of talent last weekend in Charleston. Prep Hoops is going to take a look at some of the 2024 Top Performers right here in this article. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1310639" first="Zycheus" last="Dobbs"] - Fairmont HS </strong></p>
<p>Dobbs has a great frame to overpower defenders to the basket. Zycheus plays the game extremely unselfish with his pass first mentality. He does a good job of surveying the floor and getting his teammates involved into the game. Dobbs scored 15 points in an opening round win over Herbert Hoover HS. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1409492" first="Wayne" last="Harris"] - South Charleston HS</strong></p>
<p>Harris is a fearless minded point guard who really wants to score the ball. Wayne came into the tourney averaging 18.5 ppg and 5 assists this season for the Black Eagles. He gets the ball into the paint on a quite regular basis along with the ability to knife through defenders. Harris wants to play and up-tempo and looks to attack the rack every time he has the ball in his hands. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1408804" first="Ammar" last="Maxwell"] - Shady Springs HS </strong></p>
<p>Maxwell is a slashing guard who can knockdown the 3-ball. Ammar does a good job of filling the lane with his athleticism and finishing on contact. Maxwell scored 16 points in an opening round win over North Marion HS. Ammar averaged 12.4 ppg this season.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1408506" first="Kendrick" last="Wilson"] - Greater Beckley Christian </strong></p>
<p>Wilson is really good in the open court and pushing the rock up the floor. Kendrick will change directions on a dime along with taking a charge. He can get the ball into the paint and never seems to leave the floor for the Crusaders. Wilson averaged 19.1 ppg, 5 rebounds and 4.9 assists this season for the Crusaders. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1409111" first="RJ" last="Hairston"] - Bluefield HS </strong></p>
<p>Hairston a long and rangy forward brings good versatility to the floor for the Beavers. RJ was able to use a nice drop-step move around the basket with his good footwork. Hairston has the ability to defend on the perimeter. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1310628" first="Sharron" last="Young"] - Morgantown HS (pictured on front)</strong></p>
<p>Young is a true point guard who really can set-up his mates. He gets the ball into the paint or has the ability to penetrate-kick. Young never seems to turn the ball over and always seems to be under control while on the floor. Sharron helped the Mohigans win the Class 4A State Championship this season.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1408507" first="Owen" last="Knotts"] - Tucker County HS (Hambleton)</strong></p>
<p>Knotts is a RAW talent who really looks to go to work down in the paint. Owen is a good interior passer and tends to stay right around the cup. Knotts was able to drop a jump-hook and alter-challenge shots on the defensive end. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1408508" first="Ashton" last="Lyclitter"] - Tucker County HS (Hambleton)</strong></p>
<p>Ashton really looks to work for position down low in the paint with his back to the basket. He used a nice head-fake move a few times today while going to work. Ashton seemed most comfortable from playing 2-4 feet in from the basket and really showed some good fundamentals. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1409660" first="Quinton" last="Burlenski"] - Wheeling Central Catholic </strong></p>
<p>Burlenksi was great in his opening round win knocking down everything he shot. Quinton scored 22 points in opening round win over Grafton HS in which he made 5 three pointers. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1412768" first="Jackson" last="Smith"] - Parkersburg South HS </strong></p>
<p>Smith did all of his damage out on the perimeter behind the 3-point line. Jackson is a nice catch-shoot guy who shoots the ball at a good percentage clip. </p>
