Bj Hatcher, 6’1 CG Dayton Dunbar 2025: Hatcher plays well beyond his age as a freshman and had his best performance I’ve seen him have of his young career. Hatcher attacks closeouts and isn’t afraid to either go up after a jump stop or kick it to an open shooter. Hatcher wasn’t trying to force things all game and allowed the moments to come to him. Clearly one of the most talented guards in southwest Ohio’s 2025 class, Hatcher will be a name for Division I coaches to keep an eye on the next couple seasons.
Calvin Little Calvin Little 6'2" | PG Garfield Heights | 2024 State OH , 6’2 PG Saint Ignatius 2024: Little is a great example of how a point guard can impact a game without scoring. In the first half, I thought Little was one of the best players on the court despite only having maybe two points to his name. Little was enjoying playing against a team as athletic as Wheeler, as he was the guard looked upon to break the press and make plays happen in the half-court. Little’s major flaw in his game is obvious, as he doesn’t even really look to shoot from the outside right now. He still has some time, but the lack of a jump-shot is currently holding him back.
Delmar Blanton, 6’1 CG Trotwood-Madison 2024: Blanton was super impressive for Trotwood-Madison in their loss to Pace Academy where Blanton stood out with 23 points on the afternoon. Blanton plays with great speed to his game, fitting the style that Trotwood wants to play at. Blanton makes a lot of plays happen but must play with more control as he ages. Blanton ended with a game high seven turnovers. I do believe in Blanton improving his decision-making skills and continuing to get better as a prospect. Radford gave Blanton his first offer after his impressive performance.
Ru Mills, 6’2 SF Cincinnati Woodward 2024: Mills was impressive despite the loss that Woodward took against the host Kettering Fairmont. The best skills of Mills are his hustle and athleticism but Mills also showed his ability to shoot the basketball with one 3-pointer and another mid-range jumper. We’ll see if Mills and Jaquan Bostic get a chance to break out next season as Juniors.
Bryson Tiller, 6’8 PF Pace Academy (GA) 2025: Tiller wins the award for most long-term upside from the entire weekend as he is going to be a special prospect. At 6’7, 6’8, Tiller is able to move around the court easily and has a frame that’s mature well beyond his age. Tiller was efficient with his looks around the basket, going 5/7 from 2-point range in the contest. It’s a long way to go, but Tiller has all the makings of a potential five-star recruit if he continues to develop his game.
