In Part 2, we’ll look at a few more athletes that sent a next level alert at the Flight Hankamp Scrimmages.
Elliott Addleman (2022, F, Adrian Lenawee Christian)
Addleman’s versatility stood out at the Flight Hankamp Scrimmages. He was able to influence the game from many different spots on the floor. Addleman contributed with sheer hustle and toughness as well. He was ready to hit the floor for lose balls and do the dirty work under the rim.
Jalen Jackson (2022, G, St. Clair Shores Lake Shore)
Jackson was the floor general on a 3-0 Lake Shore squad and was named the Flight Hankamp Scrimmages MOP. He was explosive, yet efficient with his handles. Jackson played downhill and in attack mode throughout the day. He was able to consistently penetrate the lane, where he showed that he could finish at the lane as well as dish off the ball or find shooters on the outside.
Cordae McCallister (2023, F, University High)
McCallister definitely turned my head at the Flight Hankamp Scrimmages. He’s an athletic player that I hesitate to even put a position to. He plays facing the rim, but doesn’t over dribble or let the ball stick. McAllister was probably the best rebounder on his team.
Jordan Scott (2023, G, Plymouth Christian)
Scott showed a ton of upside as a player and prospect. He has the strength at his position to play a physical perimeter game. He was efficient with the ball, keeping his turnovers at a more than manageable number. Scott was able to create for himself and his teammates off the bounce, using his strength to keep defenders off the ball.
Joe Washburn (2022, F, St. Clair Shores Lake Shore)
Washburn is an intriguing prospect. He has the strength and toughness needed to compete at a high level. He has strong hands that help him snag boards in traffic as well as firmly secure post catches. Washburn showed that he could finish in the paint after receiving a feed.
