Sooner Boardingham | Guard | The Mission | Chickasha High School
Sooner Boardingham is quick on the court with, or without, the ball. His vision helps him tremendously whenever it comes to going inside the paint in hopes of scoring. Boardingham, the 5’10” 10th grader, gives his team the advantage of keeping the defense moving. With the ball, he is great at providing opportunities for his teammates to move around and get open on the perimeter. Boardingham is vocal without the ball in hopes of moving the offense around and not allowing the defense to get into position. Defensively, Boardingham’s quickness is unmatched. If he gets a steal, he will take it coast-to-coast finishing with either two points or an assist.
Kejuan Payne | Guard | OKC Road Dawgs | Deer Creek High School
Kejuan Payne is the difference-maker for his team. In the first game of pool play, he willed his team back from a huge deficit. At 6’2″, Payne is a versatile guard for his team. On the OKC Road Dawg roster, he is the biggest player and can clash inside the paint. Payne spends most of his time calling the shots on the perimeter setting himself and his teammates up for success. Payne brought attention to his court whenever he brought his team within 3-points with eight seconds left in the second half. He splashed in a buzzer-beating three-pointer to tie the game and make it go into overtime. The eleventh grader was fun for fans and other teams to watch.
Chance Rogers | 5’9″ Guard | Team Choice | Mustang High School
Chance worked well in being involved and invested during his team’s games. Defensively, he isn’t fast but he throws his hands in the right spot for a chance at a steal or to keep his matchup uneasy. He does really well with his passes on the offensive side of the court. His pace isn’t rushed which allows him to evaluate whether he will throw it to an open shooter or inside to the cutter. The Mustang High School athlete also has a smooth jumper whenever he gets an open pass from a teammate.
Evan Crotts | 5’8″ Guard | Knights | Crossings Christian School
Evan Crotts may not be the biggest guy on the court but he is quick off the dribble. Many of Crotts’ defenders could not stay in front of the high school freshman because he was impressive at getting a step ahead of them. He is impressive at attacking the basket and being a step ahead of his defender. He paired nicely with his team’s big men because he is not scared to share the rock to get his team up in the game. To top it all off, Crotts can hit an open jumper or stroke one with a little contest from the defense with ease.
