Boum is a 2024 prospect who adds a ton of range and versatility on this roster. He’s a long rebounder who blocks shots and covers up a lot defensively. His impact is mostly felt on the end where he doesn’t touch the ball. With that being said, offense is something that will come around. He’s an agile player in the open floor and has solid hands. Boum can catch and finish in one motion with ease. Lots of long-term potential here.

Bhan had 16 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals in Wasatch Academy’s victory over AZ Compass Prep on Friday afternoon. Buom is a good athlete, has good touch around the rim (finished 5/8 from the field, 3/4 from 3, and 3/3 from the free throw line), and has long arms that enable him to get numerous steals and rebounds.

looked really good this weekend. He was very active on both sides of the ball, and brought energy to his squad. Buom has had to play out of position this summer because of the departure of Bangot Dak to Colorado. He’s done a great job at guarding bigger guys and blocking shots at the rim. On the offensive side of the ball, Buom gave his team extra possessions with offensive rebounds, and got to the rim and free-throw line quite a bit. He has made strides in his game this summer, and I anticipate that to continue.

‘s stock continues to rise. Coaches can not teach length and athleticism: Buom has both. He is all of 6’8 and has very long arms. He is also one of the best athletes in his class with a freaky ability to fly through the air and finish above the rim. Buom poses as a threat in the pick and roll because of his athleticism, but also in the pick and pop because he can knock down the three ball. He is more than just his potential; he is skilled and ready to contribute in a big way this summer.

No prospect may be more intriguing in the 2024 class than Bhan Boum. The 6’8 prospect out of Lincoln has size, length, and elite athleticism. As a lefty, Boum has a high release on his jump shot, which allows him to stop and pull up over smaller defenders. He also has shown the capability to create his shot off the bounce. Defensively, Boum is a great shot blocker due to his size and length, but also has great timing and is a quick jumper off the ground. If he can continue to progress, the sky is the limit for Boum. Expect his recruitment to skyrocket here in the near future.
